India to Commission its First Indigenous Aircraft Carrier INS Vikrant (IAC-I) by 2019

I would rather believe our goverment instead of Indian media? the main 'gut' Obama stuff? Liaoning is fully operational on the high sea, you can't deny it.

Does your post have any relation with the post you are replying?

If any one accuse Indian goverment overspend on Vikramaditya, you guys will defend that will pawn under-wear to deter CHina threat.

Indians can muscle around the wrold, except China and Pakistan are immune.

Some times i just wonder how it looks when a 10 times x sound speed HGV punch on the carrier, its perfect prey.

......Tune meri subah banadi..

After 3-4 decades, you'll be replacing the previous platforms, so the number will stay stable at 6-7 ACCs. With near $10-15 trillion economy, it won't be hard to maintain such flotilla, given the volatile region we are in.

No no, I agree with you my friend. We must have 6-7 AAC, 3 65000 and 4 100000 tons.

Actually you should be critical to your government for spending billions of dollars to producing a junk which is not worth Training even.

China shall have 300000 tons carrier, who can't talk?

You do not understand the difference between shall have and should have.

The same way as Kolkota DDG, it just float there even don't know where the SAM is. This time Putin will visit India, time to negotiate the fighters on the deck.
Enough of trolling ....Now ....back to topic or leave this thread.

Why so late? Wasn't it supposed to be delivered in 2016?

Maybe weapons integration, sea testing and evaluation will take a year or two.

According to Saint Anthony in 2012, the carrier was delayed by a year due to the lack of that specific grade of steel which was to be brought from abroad, setting the project back to 2015 for completion.

One year is what is the testing phase which is normal. WTF is it being tested for 4 years?

I say 2220, so? Did that made you laugh?
2022 is a sane expectation, it always delay.
