India to Commission its First Indigenous Aircraft Carrier INS Vikrant (IAC-I) by 2019

Your countryman claim that India can produce carrier's steel in home? i get confused.

I was talking about the non-availability at that particular time. It was later sourced from a local unit. That's what the delay was for; to make it in house.

2022 is a sane expectation, it always delay.

I AM in reality, and the only reality here is that India can afford 100000 tons, without caring how many 1000 tons China wants to build. Please stop reading too much into Indian media, our policy is just in place and we know what are our weaknesses.

list some?

They develop it or TOT?

Those types of things don't really come out. ToT in Indian contracts can happen only when we purchase something related. After INS Viraat which is ancient, we haven't bought anything related to an aircraft carrier.

So I don't think it was a TOT. The delay is more likely because it took time to build the specific grade of steel.

actually 8 years, it takes time for reverse-engineering. Now we satrt to build two 80000 tons carriers at the same time, let them race.

Exactly only good for reverse engineering....thats why most of your stuff fails or is subpar. No quality....just a good ol paint job.
(01) Warship grade steel used for the building the vessel was designed by the Hyderabad-based Defence Research Development Laboratory and production was done by Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) of 26,000 tonnes of high-grade “warship steel”.

we are building 2 new carriers, wait and see. As to its quality you will know when it deployed to Indian Ocean.

We are not democracy, else?

In terms of military?? Somehow I think not being Democracy is a strength in the bith of a nation to get things in order. If China does not progress to democracy, it will be its downfall.

Building and deploying has nothing to do with quality. The parameters for quality are more complex than mere sailing. And yes don't forget that is it the INDIAN OCEAN...
