My friend, that's why I said usual USA tactic..
I don't think GOI would fall for it so easily.. Believe me everyone sees the double standards of USA..

I will quote what I feel here.. That uptill China issue with USA is not solved, India will get some assistance but let it be solved then its Pakistan to contain India .. That's the basic outline of their strategy.. So scs poi t of yours is fully justified.. It's not our issues and we should look at our Indian Ocean only..

For funding part, IMHO I always knew 16s would eventually come to PAF.. GOI can at best delay the inevitable aid but its going to be given anyway.. The administration of USA has many pro Pakistan folks like pro India folks.. Kerry being one of the biggest supporter of Pakistan.. So surely for USA own policies they would fund..

That's why I am against USA for very critical needs of ours and don't find AMCA to have GE engines.. To somewhere we should give them the message we don't care if you don't give us tech, we don't like your double speaking standards..

So if we are buying it should be very limited stuff.. No point buying USA stuff when any other ally gets it for free.. This is why we should be very very cautious..

The American options should be the very last options for us.

Modified EJ engine will be a good choice both in terms of technical specifications and logical option based on unreliability of uncle sam

If EMALS is coming, F 35c are coming and E2D was long speculated to be on wishlist of IN.
So now for naval surveillance we have P8Is and if E2D too arrive, it will be a massive addition to capabilities, in terms of area monitoring for IN.

Dude i don't think so EMB would fit for a carrier Ops.. Land based Awacs are also not a good option for a carrier ops. only Hawkeye ,V-22 or our good old Russian ones are viable.

f-35 is very much advanced than rafale, a generation ahead. in future battle F-35 will be a game changer, rafale won't be.
why are we so afraid of sanction?? in 1999 we were under sanction because we tested a nuke.. do you think we will do that again?? our politicians don't have any guts to go against USA, that is why our politicians never order a covert operations against pakistan.. US objected to it so we didn't do it. we will never do something which will put us under sanction. so why don't do something which benefit india?

Why not its 2016 only,can't EMB come up with a carrier certified aircraft by 2030… secondly why not a shorebased AWACS a viable option?IN won't sent their CBG to Atlantic or south China sea. Any shore based AWACS as big and capable as IAI phalcon can give enough coverage for you cbgs for hours,only disadvantage I am seeing is such system not able to controll directly by carriers captain hence it needs better coordination between land &cbgs.

I doesn't have rafale f35 comparison, its about typhoon(almost comparable with rafale) & f35.

Even IAF stil struggling to get ultracostly & fancy rafale,& do you think that govt will allow IN to go for f35?

Stranger things have happened, so i won't be surprised if there is significant contribution from US on 65-70 K ton Indian AC. the areas of co-operation could include EMALS , Nuclear propulsion (We know that power hungry Electrical catapult system and its linear motors will be too much of a burden of ships power generating prime movers, necessitating a nuclear reactors) and of course the fighters and reconnaissance aircrafts.
This program is already part of agreement between US and India to pursue 4 Pathfinder programs and co-operation in AC and jet engine technology (Link).
Honestly, i suppose only two options are looking likely for Vishal class AC Heavy combat aircrafts (Rafale or F 35C).

USA is willing to give India higher tech weapons, than what is offered to Pakistan .

Pakistan may pay for weapons or get it as military aid.

Even when India buys weapon from Russia , France ... They too will sell weapon to Pakistan .
