How does it matter where he served? They can still have a point of view. Mani Shankar Aiyar too served in the IFS. I pointed out the facts.

Common sense would suggest that neither the relationship with Pakistan nor China has suddenly got worse, cease fire violations have been happening since 2013 w.r.t Pakistan & Chinese intrusions happened and increased dramatically when MMS was in power. So how does it become a Modi issue? In any case, if a person has to rely on a hypothetical (a sale of Su 35 to Pakistan) to suggest that the government's foreign policy is flawed, he is pretty much scraping the bottom of the barrel.

It matters. It is his past that makes him someone more credible and worthy over a doodh patti chai wala fan boy like you.

Though you gotta give credit to the OP for getting things broadly right but getting the details wrong. Current realities prevent either Russia or India having clean break, it would be a very gradual decline over years and possibly decade. Minor crests and troughs should be factored in and discounted

The sale itself may be hypothetical at this point of time but the offer itself is real and surely needs more introspection from the leadership & south block.

Well....... key point is IF it happens........ if it REALLY DOES happen then be sure that the whole regions geopolitics have taken a U turn.

I beleive it is going to happen in near team. Geoloitically speaking, India does not provide any stargic advantage to Russia as it was in 1990. And India in 1990 is so timid as in 2015...So old relationship will be broken and new alliance will be formed...And based on indication, China will somehow pull Russia and Pakistan together so as to stablilize its Western frontier...

His past record is available for anyone to read. The fact that someone served in the IFS does not mean they have no political views. Bhadrakumar's views are well know, he may be new to you , not to me. No one will take this article as being anything more than a piece from a known Modi baiter & one who wears his anti-Americanism on his sleeve (that is one of his angst against Modi)

over a doodh patti chai wala fan boy like you.

 Try harder.

His part record is professional and of serving India. Unlike you who is a nobody and is nothing but a chai wala supporter on a Pakistani website. :)

 Everyone has a view on serving India. The opposition does too. Including the communists. It does not make any criticisms of a government's policy any more valid. This government has been authorised by the people of India to serve them. It has at its disposal more "experts"on Foreign policy, including the whole serving IFS cadre. Mr.Bhadrakumar is entitled to his opinion, no one takes those comments seriously, anymore than if they were issued from the offices of the CPM.

:D Is that the best you can do? Try harder...

And obviously someone who served India in its foreign service is far better than a chai wala fanboy who is defending his hero on a Pakistani website in front of Pakistanis. :)

And I thought you wanted to prove India is getting aid.
If you look closely the aid was stopped at 2010 and also 80s to 2010 all the funds which have gone to health related AIDS AND HEALTH aid is gone to American NGOS like ford foundation and melinda and gates initiatives NGOs just as what UK did.
But no surprises here because you want to bring India to your level but we are not ready to be called as world certified beggar it suits you.

just shut up & read the table .... posted earlier .... once done with it .... read the following table form your Government ....
External Assistance to India till 2013-2014(e).JPG

BTW I am not here to EDUCATE you .... keep your shit to yourself .... don't quote me .... with another post without any substance ....

 Nope, still not cutting it. Try harder.......

So much discussion over a Bhadrakumar fantasy ? Retired diplomats like him are totally pissed off since Modi cut them out of any track-2/track-3 BS and are always looking for fault in his foreign policy..

Russians are not stupid to sell any such hardware to Pakistan. Russia-India military relationship is much stronger.

Mr.Bhadrakumar does not currently hold any official position hence it is even more important to introspect as his advice is not bound by any stress.

The current experts holding the official foreign policy positions would be more worried about their jobs than providing genuine advice after the Ms. Sujatha Singh firing fiasco.

Era of passivity is over for good or bad, India is going to pursue aggressive and confrontational foreign policy. All those who are not on board have been sidelined.
