India prepares blueprint to do an Abbottabad in Pakistan

New Delhi: After the killing of world's deadliest terrorist Osama Bin Laden by the US Navy SEALs in Pakstan's Abbottabad, India has initiated strategy to launch an Abbottabad-style commando strike on the soil of the neighbouring country.

The Indian government held talks with the armed forces to discuss the strategy on how the operation will be carried out. For this, blueprint have been prepared, which include better and rigorous training to the commando forces and to provide them with necessary resources.

In a measure to prevent any such action by Pakistan, India will emphasize on the need to increase effective radar coverage at Eastern and Southern shores.

According to sources, the Indian capabilities to carry out an Abbottabad-type operation in Pakistan was discussed in a joint meeting of top commandoes on Friday. In a projection presented in the meeting it was discussed that though Indian forces are capable of doing an Abbottabad but there is a scarcity of necessary resources which can become a hurdle in the operation.

Al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden was killed in a US raid in his Abbottabad compound in Pakistan on May 2.

yep, i knew something like this was coming. You dont go on a spending spree to wage a war with the most peaceful nation on earth who shares a trade of $100 Billion ($60 billion at present) with you. All the new inductions that India is doing, are gonna be aimed at us. Morally, we believe that we will give a strong reply to the incursion but factually we cannot afford a strong reply. We lack the resources and capability to do such a thing. This should be a eye opener for all the people who believe that we need to reduce our defence spending and focus more on other stuff.

Would it be MARCOS, PARA SF or IAF GUARD? or a joint op like ABOTTABAD? and what does the article mean by better training? Indian SF training is tough as it is, maybe more specialised training for this specific mission? And does this mean there are teams actively training 24/7 for this type of mission now? Surly Indian SF were more than capable of this before?

+ the main issue is that the SF can be as capable as possible for this raid but it is the political will that is needed to have the balls to do it.

i think we should do our job quitely without any fuss ... If we know that some of our wanted terrorists are in pak like for eg dawood... India should do it through raw ... send in some sharp shooters and kill him like anythin ..... no need to take army and do a big fuss... one bullet can do the job
