Indian warships are almost on the same level of indigenisation as the Chinese warships. The only difference is we dont export them as our yards are already busy fulfilling our Navy's requirements.

Engines are license produced. If you want to call something a copy its fine. They are not imported however.

If you want to compare indigenization levels by dragging in China you're going to lose.

We do. Just for the engines however. We are not capable of producing modern high powered marine engines. We do however have back up with steam engines. Not as good but still workable.

Weapons must be made in house however.

I did. I asked him for recent ships like the type 052C or type 054A.

He goes talking about a ship like the type 052 made in 1993.
