What's new

In a joint venture, Ashok Leyland opens new assembling facility in Dhaka.

ashok leyland is considered better than tata.. in India.. in buses volvo means premium .. so many bus owners write volvo on their tata buses.. :)

.
For long BD military have been withstanding all pressures to allow Indian vehicles in the armed forces. Now the road is clear for Ashok Leyland.

BMTF assembles the trucks for Bangladesh Army, they won't buy Ashok Leyland, not unless BMTF starts assembling them.

So many is an exaggeration, a few do.

In BD many owners use HINO logo on their Tata buses as well. lol

I guess its a start but 600 - 800 per month is puny capacity given BD population. BD market must be more underdeveloped than I thought. What other truck/bus assembly is present in BD?...and what is the total demand for trucks/buses per annum in BD?
There's always a nilgiri active in BD section. I wonder why.....:partay:

Some people get perverse pleasure and comfort in demeaning others, as individuals and as nations as well.

To some - it has reached the level of psychosis. It is related to manic depressive disorder.

"Those who are severely depressed also might need hospitalization to keep them from acting on suicidal thoughts or psychotic symptoms (delusions, hallucinations, disorganized thinking)."

The need to feel superior to others is a major trait of manic depression.

You made absolutely no sense.

More on point - Eicher had a JV with Mitsubishi for Light Commercial Vehicles (5 to 10 ton LCV's - buses/trucks) and typically Eicher was 65% of the price of a Japanese truck chassis import. Eicher has enjoyed good success in this prolific sector in Bangladesh because of initial reasonable cost, reasonably good quality and cheap spares.

Bangladesh is not a sophisticated market for LCV's or HCV's for that matter........cheap is good. Just like the rest of the subcontinent.

You made absolutely no sense.

Some will get it - some won't. It's okay. :-)

Bilal bhai is talking about the Chinese posters of this forum . . . :cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo:

I was referring to Indian trolls.

The need to feel superior is, perversely heightened recently for _some_ in India, the recent doubling of GDP compared to Bangladesh has made some think that 'India Amrika Ban Gaya', 'Supapawa' etc..... when facts belie this theory.

For some in the Bhakt contingent, trolling in the Bangladesh section in PDF makes them feel better.

Some in India are advocating elimination of slums etc., driving out poor people from large cities, instead of looking at root causes of poverty......the need to feel like a superpower is too great, slums don't really match up with that scenario......India's NGO's are more or less a failure.....too much non-inclusive development.

Anyway - too much OT talk from me.

India's greatness lies not in feeling superior to others or 'Dadagiri' - but in earning the respect of smaller neighbors through its generous actions and friendly overtures.....instead of small-minded actions like 'countervailing duties' imposed on Bangladesh exports and blocking water.

These types of actions are not seen from Chinese posters or even their Govt.

A couple posts create a stream of butthurt. Its fun to prod and show it to anyone that is passing by :D...what happens when you fart in the echo chamber and run away. :D Of course thats going to seem psychotic to those inside the echo chamber....especially given they got used to the smell of their own noxious gases :D

You have no idea how much butthurt the person above me would feel from a post like this one showing BD "consumption":

https://defence.pk/threads/in-a-joi...mbling-facility-in-dhaka.476376/#post-9178388

given he knows fully well that India consumes the same in the 300,000 vicinity yearly and expected to increase to 500,000+ shortly....but hey NGOs STRONK, viva la BBS etc etc.

At one point I was quite friendly with these BeeDees....I was polite and reasonable and gave them benefit of the doubt wherever possible.

But then over an extended period of time, they engaged in such bitter, unwarranted disgusting ways like this one:

https://defence.pk/threads/huge-res...sa-camp-for-bangladeshis.434486/#post-8372279

and abused the olive branch and open mind I came with.

So I retaliated big time...prying open their psyche for everyone to see....and they didn't enjoy it one bit....and such vermin that are relegated to calling me a "creature" for doing so have retreated in their shells fully in shame and fear.

Moral of the story: Don't dish it out in the beginning if you can't handle the response. There is no one to rescue you (like in 1971) but yourselves. If you still feel you are blameless, so be it.....but neutrals will be made to know the full story.

Same feeling to me.
He is 'the patent master ' and a diagnosed case of psychosis.
He knows everything and filing patent in every sentences.
