Nawaz Sharif cancels election campaign for Imran Khan

PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif Tuesday announced that he is cancelling his party’s election campaign on Wednesday as a show of solidarity with Imran Khan, who was injured after he fell down off a lifter.

Sharif addressing a public meeting in Rawalpindi said that he has also party leadership to cancel all public rallies as sign of sympathy for Imran Khan.

Khan received 14 stitches at a private hospital shortly after he came down from the lifter in which he was being raised to the stage in Lahore.

Doctors said the PTI chief is in stable condition but will remain in hospital. He will remain in hospital Tuesday night.

Nawaz Sharif said that he was shocked to learn about Imran Khan’s incident. He prayed for his early recovery. He said he has always showed magnanimity in politics and has never personalized.

He said he wants Imran Khan rejoin the election campaign.

Earlier addressing public meetings in Abbotabad, Swabi, Haripur, Peshawar, and Rawalpindi the PML-N chief said that if voted to power‚ his party will steer the country out of existing problems including energy crisis and unemployment.

He said that May-11 will be the day of revolution in Pakistan. He pledged soft loans and employment to the educated and skilled youth. Nawaz Sharif said he will make the country a new Pakistan if elected to power.

Nawaz Sharif said Motorway from Peshawar to Kabul will be built linking China and Central Asian States later on.

He said his party will provide loans on soft term to youth to put the country on the road to progress and prosperity

PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif pledged to provide jobs to all the educated and skilled youth‚ if voted to power on 11th of May.

He said if elected to power his party will restore peace in the country.

Meanwhile, PML-N Punjab President Mian Shahbaz Sharif said Tuesday that general elections will change the fate of the country. He vowed to put an end to lawlessness‚ price hike and corruption if voted to power.
