IMAGINE...AN OCCUPIED AMERICA

by brahmastra

you should play the game Freedom Fighters.
i completed that game long ago.the best missions are boat landing and liberty island.cool game.but in reality which nation can invade us of a?no one. it can happen only when china becomes military and technological superpower or if USSR rises again.

.
sure we could. we turned nearly 1000 F-4s into free iron ore for vietnam
And much more Chinese arms into free iron ore in the same war...

and sent your "home by christmas" general really home in disgrace and his assistant general home in a flag draped box and buried 3 million koreans, of course being forced to do so when criminal terrorists US Army attacked us.
Yaaawwwnnnn....

and you have the guts to say US army is all volunteer when they have to pay thousands of dollars to attract low income blacks and mexicans? PLA rejects almost every candidate because too many want to join the army while US army is falling short of its recruitment goals and has to rely on tricking ghetto dwellers like blacks, mexicans, vietnamese, etc. to fight and die for wall street.
Here is the truth...

The majority of the ranks are still middle to upper income whites and there is nothing wrong with enlistment incentives. And where is your source that recruitment incentives are targeted at blacks and other non-whites? Oh...You have none, as usual. No surprises here.

Interesting comment. I presume you haven't really visited the states! Then I guess you haven't met many middle class Black Americans? Or middle class 3,4, and fifth generation Asian? Or 2 or 3rd generation middle class Latin Americans/Hispanics? I guess you also haven't read a recent news report that highlights the integration of minorities with the majority is at an all time high versus a low for segregation? Nah... i guess not? Then i am sure you wouldn't had made such generalized condescending statement.
These guys are very poor in sourcing their arguments from years of swallowing communist propaganda. Since they can no longer make fantastic claims about the Chinese military, particularly in the technical aspects of it since I began to challenge those claims, they have to resort to making absurd assertions about the US, equally non-sourced.

As for social mobility in China? I believe it is still very high, on the merit of there being no such thing as old money, and the fact that in an aggressively growing economy, one good idea can still easily launch you into the "landed class".
But...but...but...I thought communism was perfect...???

Wealth is relative, no? If I cut five cords of wood compared to your four cords of wood, I am 'wealthier' than you but not as the next man who cut six cords of wood. Communism decided to do away with money and since the state, or supposedly 'the people', owned everything, no one can be 'wealthy' at all. So what need is there for something as bourgeois as 'social mobility'?

It seems you haven't taken your pills today, so I'll look to yours posts with a forgiving eye. And if you want sourcing for the social mobility study and the comparative wage increase, I can get it to you tomorrow.

The great wealth of China

The fact that these Chinese women took themselves from nothing to billions, should stand as a good indicator that social mobility is alive and well in China.

Great!!! Good for them!!! But i'm really not interested in bragging rights as to which country has the richest women or men. I really could care less about it. Though, i did notice you left out Christy and Alice Walton of Wal-Mart with a combined fortune of $43 billion between them both. Perhaps you were talking about the recent self made women billionaires... I don't know?

Anyways, here is a Forbes list that is inclusive of both men and women. Oh yeah. And the richest Billionaire in the world isn't even a US citizen. He is a Mexican.

Illusion does not mean the facts, you really know about China and even you you really know India?

Great economic progress has been achieved by China in the last two decades or so.During, this journey China followed a 'peaceful rise' policy for obvious reasons. However, lately the Chinese seem to be giving conflicting signals. Can you tell us what are the next goals of China?

Visiting Chinese premier didnt address the press which was done when other leaders come calling. Is the Chinese leadership camera shy or afraid of what questions might be asked in India where the Press is free?

Nooo...Looks like YOU did not take your meds today. I did not asked for sources on social mobility in China compared to US. I asked on what happened to communism in China when communism was supposed to be perfect in that no one is 'wealthy' under communism. No wealth, no class strata. No nobility or serfs. A perfect society.

I explained how it was anecdotal evidence for social mobility, I'm sorry if this wasn't understood on your side.

and as for Christy and Alice Walton, how are they self-made women? Alice not only inherited money from her dad (the one who actually built the business) she also inherited her brother's money.

I believe those recruitment statistics utterly dish the notion of minority "cannon-fodder" which is so wildly popular outside the U.S. Whites are over-represented in the U.S. military among new recruits.

Military service is considered an honored profession, and a way to higher education and experiences. It is not for everybody, but those who join are pure volunteers.

Back to the original premise... interesting to think about. The famous Japanese general Yamamoto declared "Invasion of America is impossible. There will be a rifle behind every blade of grass." He was right.

In these days, pretty much any nation with a nuclear arsenal and a delivery system that is hidden and ready, and in the case of the nuclear ballistic missile submarine, pretty much invulnerable, will use those weapons in a major war where the survival of the nation is in doubt.

He does have a point, most recent studies show that social mobility has been decreasing in the United States. Whereas the US used to lead Europe, Europe now lead the US. Also real wage increases has been very disproportionate in terms of the rich gaining and the middle class/lower class standing still. This will result sooner or later in a stratified society.

As for social mobility in China? I believe it is still very high, on the merit of there being no such thing as old money, and the fact that in an aggressively growing economy, one good idea can still easily launch you into the "landed class".

He has a point re China's upward mobility being alive and well to many in the cities, but also exaggerates that point to needlessly insult and troll, serving as a terrible example to all.

As for his last stab at racism, that is not only false, but insulting to our country's experiences battling racism, I assume again for the sake of trolling.

I'm not defending racism, though it's generally a good idea to take what is discussion worthy and run with that, if we want to get above the typical internet banter.
