IMAGINE...AN OCCUPIED AMERICA

YOU are...:D...YOU brought and questioned up my 'identity', remember? As I am a US citizen, would you care to elaborate why my skin color should matter?

I question your integrity, not your skin color. How can this be racist? And many Americans question that your president is a devoted muslim, so according to your logic, they are racists as well, right?

 Now that is a riot. The best thing that came out of communist China is the lesson that communist China, like communist Russia/Cuba/North Korea/Viet Nam/et al, is an utter failure. But that lesson is a thing of value, after all. China has not fought a war because China COULD NOT fight any war.

sure we could. we turned nearly 1000 F-4s into free iron ore for vietnam and sent your "home by christmas" general really home in disgrace and his assistant general home in a flag draped box and buried 3 million koreans, of course being forced to do so when criminal terrorists US Army attacked us.

and you have the guts to say US army is all volunteer when they have to pay thousands of dollars to attract low income blacks and mexicans? PLA rejects almost every candidate because too many want to join the army while US army is falling short of its recruitment goals and has to rely on tricking ghetto dwellers like blacks, mexicans, vietnamese, etc. to fight and die for wall street.

.
PLA soldiers always fought in front of the natural disaster and saved the Chinese civilians, just because our nation is a peaceful nation that doesn't mean our soldiers are afraid of the war.

.
You missed the point that Paul was trying to make, which is not that anyone can invade US and occupy the land, but that how would Americans feel if their country was occupied the way the US has our presence in other countries. Paul's error is the overly broad context of 'occupation'. We are occupiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, but not in the same historical context as the Romans or Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan. We do want to withdraw from the countries we currently are in power but the mentioned three never did want to withdraw from the lands they conquered.

Heck even USA never withdrew from the countries it fought
For example u still have bases or troop presence in Japan, vietnam ur real motherland, germany, korea etc........... ur no better then the Nazis for the iraqis, afghans or were for the vietnamese etc.... anyways...... Afg couldnt be captured why? coz of the terrain and the people(who believe in martyrdom or shahdat!) which americans dont, decades of experience in guerrilla warfare.

Heck they even started the programe or deal for immigrants tht if they serve in the army then after 6 months theyd be granted american citizenship...........

Heck i hope u guys remember the Draft policy during vietnam? blacks and mexicans were the canon fodder.

To be fair, though, most of the ghetto 'dwellers' don't have any other option if they want to leave the ghettos. No educational or employment opportunities.

which is why i am thankful i live in china, where upward mobility is for everyone that works hard, and you aren't screwed the rest of your life if you happened to be born with the wrong skin color.

we'r just thankful enough to be not born into some communist system telling us how to live our lives, how many children's we can have, or being a cattle used to extradited into becoming cattle to being a source of supplied to be the elite of communists failed body parts (death squad victims). :yahoo:

Freedoms too. I like that my internet is not censored and Google isn't monitored to death and edited to what the government finds fitting. These are not things i would be willing to give up.

1, US is not true about Internet have not censorship and freedom of information , particularly against Muslims.

2, US have a more relaxed environment, in essence, because of money, to understand what I mean.

3, these things, free internet and GOOGLE, China also has, and even more freedom, you believe or not believe?

Yep, Obama is a puppet and a scapegoat who is used to blame for the economic failure. That's why he is the US president.

If you look at the top hierarchy of the American society, you will see it is still exclusively controlled by WASP(Protestants of Western European descent).

Illusion does not mean the facts, you really know about China and even you you really know India?

Interesting comment. I presume you haven't really visited the states! Then I guess you haven't met many middle class Black Americans? Or middle class 3,4, and fifth generation Asian? Or 2 or 3rd generation middle class Latin Americans/Hispanics? I guess you also haven't read a recent news report that highlights the integration of minorities with the majority is at an all time high versus a low for segregation? Nah... i guess not? Then i am sure you wouldn't had made such generalized condescending statement.

He does have a point, most recent studies show that social mobility has been decreasing in the United States. Whereas the US used to lead Europe, Europe now lead the US. Also real wage increases has been very disproportionate in terms of the rich gaining and the middle class/lower class standing still. This will result sooner or later in a stratified society.

As for social mobility in China? I believe it is still very high, on the merit of there being no such thing as old money, and the fact that in an aggressively growing economy, one good idea can still easily launch you into the "landed class".

I'll point to this as antidote proof.

A list of the richest self-made women in the world (from the economist)

20101016_WOC465.gif

The great wealth of China
ZHANG YIN, who made her money in the paper industry, is the wealthiest businesswoman in the world, according to Hurun Report, a Chinese magazine. Its ranking of the 20 richest self-made women (those who earned their money) combines its own findings with those of Forbes and the Sunday Times. Over half of the women in the top 20 are of Chinese origin, perhaps because of a communist ethos of gender equality, perhaps because previous generations of Chinese left so little wealth to be inherited. The richest non-Chinese is a Spaniard, Rosalía Mera, one of three on the list to have made her fortune in fashion

The fact that these Chinese women took themselves from nothing to billions, should stand as a good indicator that social mobility is alive and well in China.

Then what does my 'identity' has to do with this debate...

lol, i went oversea for studying, but China is still my motherland, unlike someone who has suffered identity crisis.
Do you even understand the meaning of the word 'integrity'? I doubt it.

Tell the readership...Do you, and the rest of your Chinese brothers here, believe that even in America, a Viet is racially inferior to a Chinese?
