IAF Mirage-2000 Another One That Got Away !

it was a mistake, big mistake. no clearance means lack of aggression from pakistani government. it's sad but we might not see same situation again. i mean enemy is already alert now. we can't use same tactic again. it was terrible decision not to give clearance.
Using all tricks for minor perceptive victories while losing the grand scheme of things is hallmark of Pakistani geopolitical history.

Hain, what a logic ! Yr airforce was there to fight areal battle or playing test cricket that declared the day and came home.

FYI, Sukhoi and Mirages were part separate formations and flying different areas, in fact in different states.

Mirages were already flying CAPs in Northen kashmir when they would have encountered PAF formation.

While Su30 flew from Punjab to Jammu where they countered and faced barrage of AMRAAM albeit none manage to hit them.

So to say PAF thought they shot down two Indian jets and then they hesitated to take down Mirages is simply illogical since PAF formations must encountered Mirages in North kashmir much before Su30s and even Mig21s which came in the end.

Why didnt the mini AWAC or the Raptor of the east shoot down any of PAF JF-17 or Mirage-III or F-16s? IAF's R-77 has about same range as PAF AMRAAMs.
That LY-80 missile has a shitload of fuel. Do they think it has a range of 1000km or something?

Also Ly-80 is radar guided not IR so those flares were just useless and also Missile motor does not burn for that long. This video is just Indian imagination to satisfy their fragile broken ego after they got their @ss kicked.

Seems like pakistanis themselves dont believe the stories they keep on adding to the 20 min skirmish that happened between IAF n PAF on 27 feb 2019.. two years has gone by and still no final versio rofl...

Every other week some pakistani poster comes with leaks the same circle going on from past 2 years...

Seems like pakistanis themselves dont beleive in the chooran they themselves make every other week..

Just make a final version n publish in some static page on pdf lol..

Mirage MKI sab fail JF17 k aage...

Thinking neutrality I can say with full confident...2 UPgraded Mirages which were on CAP that day facing jf17 n mirage3... the tech difference is just too much ... on above of that International Border/LOC is whole different ground... if Jf-17 didnt turn back
MiCA is far too deadly than Sd10...

No point in celebrating or guessing what would have happened in something that did not happen over two years ago, if anything PAF failed to materialize on a GOD given chance to absolutely crush the enemy's morale and show Thunder to be a proven 4th+ gen fighter capable of taking on all threats and come on top and as a bonus rubbed it in France's filthy face that backed out of the agreement to sell stuff for Thunder. How often does one gets a chance to achieve so many things in an hour?

We all know how on 27th February 2019, during Pakistan Air Force's counter offensive to earlier failed Balakot strikes by the Indian Air Force, in addition to shooting down two IAF fighter jets, PAF had at least 7 other Indian aircraft squarely painted and all could have been shot down with just press of some buttons.
It has now emerged that among others, the OC of PAF No 26 Squadron flying in his JF-17 had a Mirage-2000 firmly locked with no chance of escape. He was repeatedly heard, shouting and begging for clearance to ''Fire''. Unfortunately, in the light as not to escalate hostilities, that clearance never came. However, under the circumstances. Just imagine the shockwave the news of a Thunder taking out Mirage-2000, would have sent across the world. None the less PAF can rejoice in the fact that when the test came, the JF-17 held more than it's own against Indian front line fighters.
LOL coming from an indian who gloat over 5000 year old vedic non-existent achievements

This tale is almost 2 years old...
Are Pakistanis that petty that they have to remind themselves of this small victory by gloating about it constantly?

disappointing
Every time IAF gets delusional against PAF

How often do you hear about two air forces clash and one mighty air force get its @ss kicked?

.
and you are a clown to not see two downed jets, an arrested IAF Pilot, a fratricide heli with air crew, S&R team and rescued pilots of a downed SU30 MKI, a suspended air defence battery commander, a kicked out southern or whatever air commander, and fucked up faces of defence ministry officials with the spend condom and PAF's DNA

So the only evidence u guys have to back ur fancy stories is ' faces of IAF officers...? You are comedy.

I wish they brought one of those Mirages down. Some Indian posters used to rant on about them being unstoppable with the MICA.
The only thing they did that day was keep the runaway warm at Gwalior, after they came in piping hot from running away with their afterburners on full flow.
I dont see any benefit in this thread. M2K being painted and in the cross hairs irrespective, the fact remains PAF has claimed 2 fighters only. We need to move on. This will only give rise to flame baiting and add nothing to the-debate at all. PAF needs to prepare for the next encounter which is being prepared for.
From the perspective of how many fighters PAF should-have taken down, the high command in charge of this encounter wisely decided to take the 2 fighters down to convey a strong message and in a manner which would prevent the adversary from responding. Any more fighters may have caused IAF to go up the escalation ladder which could have led to all out war. This was avoided very astutely and the only saving grace left for IAF to celebrate is how their fighters dodged the supposed AMRAAMS which were never fired. Let us leave things here and move on.

Remember after Iran shot USA 150 million drone USA cancelled retaliatory strike

And after Iran retaliatory strike on USA base in response to Irani general killing USA didn't further escalate

Pakistan on 27 Feb 19 didn't came to start a war but to deliver a strong.message to indz to stay on it's side and Indian heard it and understood in their minds even though would not say so in public ;)

And the detonated amraam tube showing it hit something inside iok Didn't just fizzled out and fall

And the poor Indian iaf helicopter shot by own air defence in heat of battle with iaf rescue crew on board lost
Such Heli would have only been dispatched so hastly during or right after air battle to rescue pilots. Sonny

I dont understand the logic behind CLEARENCE.

we are not soviets we train our pilots to be independent fighter, to be able to take decisions at the spot in confidence and that is what all officers should be.

If there is no declaration of war and if the air craft has not intruded into Pakistan air space then there is no grounds to shoot at the aircraft.

any ways good story.
Exactly the case scenario, no formal declaration of war plus with the exception of one, all other IAF aircraft were well on their side of LOC, the SU-30 that was targeted was posing some threat to the PAF Mirage strike force which had raided Indian ground targets.

.
He should have got permission...sad we missed a chance to show IAF footage of mirage going down.
Allas! Our Airforce have remembered what Indian airforce did to Our naval ‘Atlantic and 18 passengers . What a failur.

.

Totally agree. Why was he let go?

If there was another country, it would have shown the camera footage of the lock. But not Pakistan. This is why despite having some outstanding achievements, our people tend to forget what we had done.

LMAO, What is the Indian "final version " two years later?

Every other week some pakistani poster comes with leaks the same circle going on from past 2 years...

Just make a final version n publish in some static page on pdf lol..

Every other week some Indian poster comes here to show how heroic their "mor baba" is ; who knows that radars don't work in cloudy weather, how lemons and chillies when applied to fighter jets, enhance their performance.
Just let us know the magic of the chillies and lemons.LOL

Mirage MKI sab fail JF17 k aage...

F16 sab fail laimoon mirchi ke aage. :omghaha:

Pathshala brand andhbhakt IT cell English. Your writing is unintelligible.

Don't write : "Thinking neutrality ", :azn: say "Thinking neutrally " or "Thinking with a neutral perspective.."
Don't write : "I can say with full confident " , write " I can say with full confidence " ( confident is an adjective, confidence is a noun )
Wonder what this sentence means :undecided:
" on above of that International Border/ LOC is whole different ground"

Could you answer the question in the post below?

Ok so with all the assets that you had in the air why couldn't you replicate what your Israeli allies did over the Bekaa Valley.

With assets lile Phalcons, Mirage 2000s, Sukhoi 30 MK, Mig 21 Bisons you should have swatted your enemy out of the sky. Or at least mounted a vengeance raid to even the score with the Bison shoot down.
Puzzling:
1. Normally a superior air force launches a "recovery op" to recover a downed pilot by a helo rescue operation which is covered by air strikes or helicopter gunship attacks to kill or drive away enemy forces trying to capture downed pilots.

The USAF in Iraq ( 2003) and IDF in Syria , VVF in Syria regularly do this, Eveb Jordan bombed ISIS positions after an F-16 was shot down and its pilot captured ( later executed).
Why didn't the IAF attempt a rescue op?
2. Vengeance strikes and air combat sorties.
Normally any superior air force takes out enemy air assets that pose a threat to their aircraft both through air strikes on enemy air bases or through air space challenges that lure enemy fighters into combat.
Example: Operation Bolo

So why didn't ACM B.S. Dhanoa launch an "Operation Bolo" ?

Why didn't the IAF fly recce op to photograph the post destruction status of the target in Balakot?

Why didn't the IAF fly a recce op to photograph the wreckage of "the downed F-16?"

It's not what the IAF did. It is what it didn't do that is significant.
