How China is building warships as India sleeps

Mate, this is exactly what India is doing with Pakistan......Can you accept Indian hagemony and be humbled??
OK..
Now that I have recovered from the shock of what you posted..
I'd like to tell you that Pakistan and Ind have always been bitter rivals and enemies.
China and India haven't been.
China was never a threat to your nation security until you started trying to show a muscle.
Now you've successfully any antagonized the dragon and you remain committed to do it more.

r&d, production or acquisitions, the navy is one arm of our forces that can not be accused of sleeping.

And all of this aimed towards what ?
Which Navy is considered no.1 potential threat for PLAN ?
That is what I'd like to know.
Is it the possible conflict with the US or are these preparations for a pottential bitterness with China's eastern neighborhood.
obviously the US, who have a huge presence right under their nose in RoK, Japan, Taiwan etc

I recently heard 2 001A is about 60,000 though it's close enough. 2 002, no info on those but have heard conventional with steam, and then 003 after that.

nuke subs? Have not heard much, but I think 3-5 new SSN by 2020 is more realistic. Type 52D, was it 12 or 20 forgot, 055 could be a game changer, but probably limited in numbers(in relation to the US' 60) for now, from what I heard.

Conflicting reports everywhere.

Regarding this article, too much of a focus on carriers, China's strength, relative to India, lies in numbers, and tonnage. The weapon systems should be similar as India has access to the latest in Israeli and European as well as American tech.

Liaoning displaces over 60000 tons, and the Type 001A is 5% greater in tonnage than Liaoning.

And China now deploys 2 nuclear subs per year, and expect a second production line to be opened.

The 3-5 nuclear subs by 2020 is way too conservative.

Sleeps? Who somes up with this bull$%^t?

Indias shipyards are booked for years with orders for the Navy and copast guard.

Let the Chinese build their ships, we are building our own, and well be more than ready if they mess with us.

I feel sorry for India.
The best way to proceed for the next decade(s) for India is to accept Chinese hegemony and be humbled.
I know this sounds bitter from an Indian perspective but it is the only way to guarantee a safe and prosperous future for India.
If India accepts the fact that yes China is/will be the shupa powah of this region then China will also feel less challenged. Then Chinese will start doing with India what they like to do.Friendly Business. And I mean huge mammoth businesses which are not happening now because India keeps on signalling China that itvwants to rival China.
These stupid articles are making a mindset for the future Indian generations.
India in reality cannot and should not get itself into an arms race with China.
Whatever the Indians manage to pull,China will be ahead of them.Always.
If India will acquire 10 warships,China will add 20.
If India will have an army of FGFAs,China will already have a pack of SGFAs.
And then China will always use Pakistan against India and Pakistan will always be willing.
Point is,these billions being spent on defense are going to create more problems for India.
The more India spends, the more China will take it as a threat and China will always make sure to outspend and out procure India because it can.Good manners with China ensure a good future for India.

I feel sorry for Pakistan.
The best way to proceed for the next decade(s) for Pakistan is to accept Indian control of Kashmir and be humbled.
I know this sounds bitter from an Pakistani perspective but it is the only way to guarantee a safe and prosperous future for Pakistan.
If Pakistan accepts the fact that yes India will not let go of Kashmir then India will also feel less challenged. Then Indians will start doing with Pakistan what they like to do.Friendly Business. And I mean huge mammoth businesses which are not happening now because Pakistan keeps on needling India with terrorism to try and get Kashmir.

Navy is hardly going to be a factor in the Sino-Indian equation, though their will be the usual standoffs from time to time

You otta your da mind dude

China will never be interested to become a hegemony, we only need to be a strong power.

Yeah sure

first thing first...

we'll have 3 carriers and possibly 4 LPD/Escort Carrier by 2025.

China may make a dozens of carriers, but it has nothing to do with India.

India enjoys a superior maritime relationship with all the nations in IOR(Except Pakistan)..China is adversary to nearly all of them.

Indian Carriers are mainly for "Self Defense",and It'll perform accordingly.

everybody here is making noises when there is some cold hard facts that China doesn't have 1 "True Carrier" while India has 1(INS VIraat is going to retire soon and Liaoning is a training carrier) and we're going to get VIkrant before China will get their first homegrown carrier.IN's doctrine of 3 Carriers are sound,we don't need more carriers just to measure d1ck with PLAN.PLAN is a overburdened fleet, while Indian Navy is not.

China needs to secure its maritime trade route, so an adequate navy is needed.
