The Red Line is the marching route of the Chinese army. The Blue Line is the Indian Army.

Love this video. Nicely presented and qualitatively good one. The response to this video, will not be in good taste for Non Indians. So i will refrain myself from posting it.
But for Indian posters, we lost the war from China categorically. It is a lesson for us.

I wish you would read up the story of Cassandra.

When this whole brouhaha about the CPEC was going on, I had posted about this. Naturally, coming from a despised Indian warning Pakistanis about the consequences of deepening their embrace of their all-weather friend, this post received no attention, neither the portion about present and future hazards, nor the portion warning about the temporary nature of the border agreements freezing the Sino-Pak border, nor the portion reminding readers about the tributary situation of some of the Pamir emirates; these were the emirates now constituting Gilgit-Baltistan. The historical consequences of the shift in vassal status of these emirates, and the natural logic of their denying the suzerainty of the Srinagar regime and accession to Pakistan, even as the prior claims of Kashgar and its inheritor state remain unresolved, is something that future generations of Pakistanis will have to work out for themselves. By the time this happens, I will be dead and gone, and will have to forego the melancholy pleasure of watching dire warnings come true.

I have to admit that I am impressed that this historical series picked up on that incident. How far away are those days of Pakistan sitting in the lap of the US and the west, and smirking odiously first at Indian neutrality, and friendship with China and the Soviet Union, and then uproarious laughter in 1962.

Lage rahon, padshahon.

We did offer you joint currency and a mutal defence pact prior to becoming a member of seato and cento dint we?

But Indian bullying ruined any prospects of this region's peace ever since. So, a weak and relatively small country would weigh in any and all options to survive.

Pakistan should have joined this fight. 1965 wouldnt have been required.

That's not unreasonable, except for the 'bullying'; I don't remember any such attitude from my reading. But there were fairly clear leanings towards the west, and Nehru was already trying to 'hook up' (forgive the phrase) with Tito, Sukarno and Nasser to form a neutral bloc equidistant from the other two. I think the situation was pretty complex at that time.

How beautifully phrased this was. All things to all people.

Everyone has their opinions...
You may or may not like mine.

Indeed all things to all people right back at ya

Imitation being, of course, the sincerest compliment. Thank you.

Obligatory emoticon added => :coffee:
