HISTORY: India’s LCA Makes 1st Landing On Aircraft Carrier Deck

Many in PDF has flawed understanding of LCA project ...
whole new eco system of various feeder aero private industries has been built and at same time offset clauses are adding more tech.

LCA is on a much more robust path than JF-17...
Just that this approach is only followed by india

Everywhere else its goal directed work

Then comes the foreihn sabotage hope you remember how yhey sabotaged Marut 2
Becoz chai biskut,,,err i mean validating technologies.

HAL is govt company they have their own pace sarkari speed but only silver lining is they kind of forced to engage private companies in the manufacturing of LCA
If you want a navy LCA its fine just built it from scratch PER NAVY REQUIREMENTS

Why is there a disconnect between the customer (navy airforce) and the builder..
It makes no sense

What??
foreign sabotage,,,lol.
Sounds similar to 'cast system in India becoz muslim invaders'.
Agar aukat hoti toh dono se bach jate.
Btw dpsu's dont have any silver lining,,whatever u read in other forums about the greatness n efficiency of dpsu's r from chuzaz working in those bekar dpsu's or thr children(relatives).
Tell me,,,is lca tejas mk1 the same aircraft(design/aerodynamics) as tejas mk2(mwf)?fact of the matter is,,,they r not,,both r different class of aircraft.Leave the evolutionary/revolutionary theories.
If mk1 is a success or atleast gud enuff like dpsu bhakts say it is thn why mwf,,why not more mk1a,,,,,,actually the airframe n avionics r the main indigenous components of lca(all the other crucial technologies r imported) n tht is exactly where it failed n has no buyers n hence manjan of mwf(the nxt indiagenious world class game changaaaa)

Yeah yeah, more Gangu non-sense. Not even IAF wants this yet its so superior to a combat proven platform. Gangu Logic for the Win!

JF17 is a success story just like Su30 MKI in the same time period. We can all be proud about producing more than a hundred just in the last few years, with some indigenous demands in the design. Of course the MKI has a whole range of Indian avionics from Project Vetrivale and is in a whole different class, but maybe Pak will catch up.

Good luck.

Su 30 isfully made in India unlike JF 17. Your comparison is wrong.

What an awesome achievement.

Climb rate is very impressive.

Why do focus on trolls who are not good for anything except abuse. Let them enjoy. All know what their achievements are.

More than that, if the LCA was actually Indian you could say fine

But it's full of foreign parts from American engines, to Israeli hardware, Europeanparts

All bolted together in India

I think the navy had already rejected the plans and if it wasn't for a political intervention so would have the airforce

A point comes when the Indians have to admit they fcuked this LCA project up badly
Its more to do with budget and complexity of creating a fighter jet from scratch. Neither did we pour tens of billions of dollar nor did we reverse engineer like Chinese. Its not a **** up. Fighter jets arent as easy to create when technology keeps evolving while you try to catch up.

Success story lol? Both Tejas and JF17 are stupid aircrafts. The only reason why JF17 saw foreign buyers is because of China.

No, just because India can buy almost anything from foreign countries. And China has no other choices.

Do you think US Russia have a choice or they develop tech themselves rather to copy others?

Foreign buyers cannot be the sole criterion for success, in military matters. JF17 is indeed a success. Pakistan may be importing a lot of it from China, but it gives them strategic independence. They're able to assemble as many as they want.

It's also customised to PAF, since it's them who provided the wishlist like I earlier said. Similar to how India asked for and paid for changes in Su30 to make it Su30 MKI, or the MiG29K. Indegenous demands in design, as I call it.

Of course, the MKI is in a completely different class and is almost 100% made in India (with some imported raw materials) unlike the JF17 and incorporates Indian avionics. But this doesn't take away anything from the success that is JF17. It has for the first time in history, made Pakistan able to produce fighter aircrafts, and gave them independence, except from China.

Tejas/LCA as a program cannot be compared to any of this, since it's an indegenous effort, and it'll be a long time before Pakistan can deliver something of the sort. But you may compare specs.

Oh. You're probably one of those Bangladeshis who think that fighter aircrafts sprout on trees. My bad.
