And in Maharastra the full bottle is a 'khamba'. BTW he quart is also called 'powwa' in North India. 'Powwa' is also the term for a short person.

Local word for local alchohol here is "Desi"

and aadhi or aadha is used for half

yes it is there. Each and every word can be written in devanagri actually. but the thing is the diffrence between the two is just of a dot below "ja" an alphabet in hindi. if we put a dot below "ja" it becomes "za".

Zakir one question i know that Allah and Khuda are the same but what is the difference? I mean why some call Allah and others Khuda?

and what is the meaning of Al i mean like you using al for Quran Sharif. I intially thought it is used to give respect but as i know you dont like Hasina and all but you used the same for her also and confused the sh!t out of me. can you please clarify

Al is an arabic word and it is used as "The" in English like to specifiy somehting like we say Al-Quran which means The Quran.

Bindas is a slang generally used in western side of India and Delhi. It means to be bold or smart.

For example
Bindas jaa tera koi kuch nahi ukhad sakta main hoon na tere peeche .

Hindi does have a z sound and people who have good pronunciation will use that. But as with regional differences many people might not use it.

Besides, with google transliteration you can just type in roman and it will transliterate for you in Urdu and hindi and its pretty accurate.

kuffaar is the plural of kaafir. Like tujjaar for taajir-trader.

Zaki already answer it though Allah is Allah and world of Qur'an whereas Khuda mean god in Farsi.

Al mean THE in arabic and it is used to emphasis the meaning of world. Perhaps respect as you have mentioned.


I use La for Hasina. La mean NO in arabic and hasina mean beauti in urdu. So la-hasina. This women neither has any hasin surat nor akhlaq........

Actually, I'm more interested to know the meaning of Holy Quran instead of just reading it in Arabic just to earn neki. I read 11 para but now forget how to read Arabic which is a sign of unlucky.

Learn to read arabic because with out reading would not be same as reading the meaning only. We need the meaning but reciting is also very important to Islam.

Mukamal mean complete thus completely would be the meaning.
