Has Saudi govt allowed Non Muslims in Mekkah/Madina?

Has Saudi govt now allowed Non Muslims in Mekkah Madina now? My aunt was in a flight..back to Pakistan two days ago and she had an Ethopian passenger besides her.. When they had a conversation...tht passenger told her tht she would be going to Madina soon..and everything is arranged.. .. So my aunt asked her...are u a Muslim? She said...No..so my aunt was surprised...very much tht how could non Muslims go to either Mekkah /Madina as non Muslims were not allowed in these two cities?

Isnt it said in Quran..If I remember correctly I think in Surah e Tauba tht Non Muslims cant enter Makka Medina? Has Saudi govt recently allowed Non Muslims in these two cities? When did it happen?

Saudis only use that part of the religion which can be exploited in the favour of their monarchs and some mullahs.

Non Muslims can go into makkah and madina,they just cant enter the holy sites.
