Oh yes, let's not compare it to the 100% Swedish Gripen:
And the PAF would LOVE to have more foreign content on te JF-17:
France & Pakistan to revive JF-17 Avionics/EW/Missiles deal as Indian MMRCA stalls.
It is for poltical and economic reasons they can't.
Wow, you really are a parady of yourself! DSI= the best thing ever put on a plane that solves EVERYTHING! Just by having DSI makes any plane superior to a plane without DSI.
Let's not even mention the fact the LCA Mk.1 is superior in pretty much every way to the JF-17 blk.1 and 2 - HMDS, ECM,Radar, BVR missiles, IFR probe, higher composite material content, OBOGS etc etc
The LCA Mk.2 will put the JF-17 to shame on pretty much every level.
Sweden is a Western country. Western parts in Gripen is different in nature as Western parts in Tejas.
You can put HMDS in an Me 109 doesn't make the plane a modern plane.
Pakistan is not using any French part in JF-17 because Chinese parts are on par and readily available. KLJ-7 is on par with RC-400.
Tejas Mk. 1's parts are on par with JF-17 Block 1's parts, but lacks IFR that JF-17 Block 2 has.
Tejas empty weight 14,300 lb. JF-17 empty weight 14,520 lb. Not a big difference considering Tejas has smaller size by a bit.
