Hafiz saeed,s story

Honestly Hindus were not involved in the massacres as it is made out to be, it was mainly the sikh jathas. Bhai kahan se mere congress. I am a socialist/communist:-)

in what came to be known as Punjab (indian side) it was the Sikhs, but in Haryana/Himachal/Delhi from where hafiz saeed is from it was Hindus. Everyone was involved in 1947, unfortunately Sikhs became the scapegoat and are wrongly blamed for 1947 as well as 1857.

On top of that your congress took back weapons from Muslim police officers of East Punjab which rendered police useless.

What was needed at the time was not police but British military intervention. They could have prevented the violence from taking the disastrous shape and form it did but did almost nothing. 1 million people died for nothing. The human loss alone is the biggest tragedy in the history of Punjab.

Looks interesting book, is it available over net?

Actually main reason of this confusion which i concluded from the talks of my grand parents is that most of ruler population was not aware of partition of Punjab - the ones who were aware didn't knew the new boundaries, and many were not interested to leave their homes. It's the riots which forced people to move.
No idea sir, I have a hard copy but maybe it is available on pirate bay??
I know, even in Lyallpur the Sikhs did not move out till October 47 until the then government of Pakistan forced them out. I guess no one wants to leave their ancestral lands and homes.

In Ambala as well Hindus were also involved, but anyway I know Police couldn't have controlled the situation but without presence of Army and police as well it became jungle and rioters have 100% free hand.

In the original post, Hafis Saeed says his family were forced to leave their ancestral home in Haryana.

My grand parents tell me when they were in Lyallpur and it was announced their district would become a part of Pakistan, they were ready to become citizens of Pakistan:pakistan:. I think on both sides of the border Hindus and Sikhs in west Punjab and Muslims of east Punjab would have remained where they were had riots not taken place.

Lyalpur is called Faisalabad now,and yes you are right.my grand parents would also have stayed behind if it wasn,t for the riots.

were ur ancestors from Jammu city or reasi
my grandfather was fro tehsil sambha jammu, after partition he and his family moved to sialkot, his village is now a big cantonment for the indian army.

More muslims died in east punjab compared to non muslims in west punjab not because muslims soldiers were not called back from the front but because:
1) the percentage of muslims was higher in east punjab
2)large tracts of east punjab were under princely states where british forces could not enter
gurdaspur had 51% muslim population, amritsar, firozpur, jalandhar had 49% muslim population, ambala had 38% muslim population, ludhiana had 35% muslim population, non of them formed a part of any princely states and they were the main districts of massacres.

this was an article by indian express, here are his naratives:
Early life and Partition

When our caravan finally reached Pakistan, 36 members of my family had been killed, including children. From my father, mother and other elders of the family, I have heard stories of barbarism committed on us by Hindus and Sikhs, and how we were forced to abandon our ancestral home in Haryana.

I belonged to a Gujjar family. My father, Kamal-ud-Din, was a farmer. In the fall of 1947, our family started migrating from Haryana and reached Pakistan in around four months. My father told me that when they left Haryana, there were 800 people in the caravan and most of them belonged to our family. They began the journey by train but then they started hearing stories of how rioters were stopping trains and killing Muslim migrants on their way to Pakistan. Our family decided to travel by foot. Finally, they entered the borders of Pakistan in March 1948.
My mother told me that once the caravan reached Jaranwala tehsil of Faisalabad, I was born. If I had been born two-three months ago, perhaps I would have been killed as well.
Because of the riots of 1947, our land in Haryana was snatched from us. We had some agricultural land there. After migration, our family resettled in Sargodha district. Our initial days there were extremely difficult. We did not have an inch of land or even a hut to live in. Our family was deep in poverty. A few of our relatives who had migrated from India before us had settled in a small village called Chakh 126 in Sargodha. They sheltered my father in a one-room mud house with a thatched roof. It was here that I spent the first several years of my life. My father opened a small kirana shop. After some time, once we were registered as migrants, the government gave us 15 acres of agricultural land and my father started farming again.

this is especially for those people who call saeed a terrorist.
Terrorist are those who mass murdered Muslims when migrating to Pakistan and also attacked Pakistan in 65 and broke Pakistan in 71 but we haven't forgotten any of our martyr and we would take revenge

True, but a substantial portion of these were ahmadis, whom you now do not consider as muslims.

You should know that Hindus who came from Pak also had similar stories to tell. no one became a terrorist here because of that incident.

who said i am justifying,i am just saying that people should stop doing such hateful things in both india and pakistan to their minorities or we will see many people like saeed on the rise, growing up in blood thirsty environments.
there is no one like saeed from this side. the himid mir, saeed, and Musharraf and zaid hamid are all from that side only

Dont bring Modi into this.
What he means to say is that just like someone promised Jihad or war .. war against ignorance or war against oppression, modi is also promising war.. war against corruption.

True, but a substantial portion of these were ahmadis, whom you now do not consider as muslims.

What is the meaning of substantial portion? Ahmadis were around 1% and they were not spared from massacre either.

My second grand father was Major in British army, he told that all Sikhs were called back from front after second world war but Muslim soldiers and officer were kept away deliberately, which resulted in unprotected caravans and hence more blood shed of Muslims.
These truths and twists you will not find in history books, but only from the grand children of immigrants.

Modi has promised war to his voters, hope you are aware of it!

He told you personally ....???.....Do you have proof for that...Don make BS story.

Your statement itself is justifying that...(this is especially for those people who call Saeed a terrorist)...He is a terrorist ...and one day we will send him to his defined fate.
