well Mosque is needed to for Salah , which can be offer from house as well , but why create mosque , its more like reflecting the idea of creating a society where people pray and live together ... see it the way , in a Muslim society , if people meet in a mosque 5 times in a day , so its even good in social terms , but in today's world , everyone has their own version of God .. but having a place to worship is nothing bad ...

Hazar Omar RA , was offered to pray in Church in Jerusalem , but he refused for the reason that if he pray here , later Muslims will forcefully turn this church in to a mosque by saying a Khalifa Pray here ....
Religion is not destroying us , but our own lack of knowledge is responsible for human downfall ..

Here is an interesting ruling I found from Jewish religious leaders which has something to do with Masjid.

No God (even if it exists) will never come before us. He has lot more important works to do!!

yes you should , there is nothing bad in learning about new religion ... i have read bible , and watch many lectures from youtube ... its interesting to know about different religion and cultures

Well, there are also many in ruling party who talks sense!! Now don't give importance to these people. He is not the first one and will not be the last one. And every party (that includes your country also and every countries), every religion has some people like this. Though I like this person for some other things (like corruption expose), he has this foot in mouth disease.
