It was sad to see the deaths of so many servicemen. Respect to those men in uniform who lay down their lives so that others can live in peace. Rest in Peace.

Congratulations to the Pak Army and SSG for achieving a decisive victory over the terrorists at the GHQ. Under the able leadership of Gen. Musharraf, and now his successor Gen Kiyani, Pak Army has racked in an impressive array of victories and conquests in Swat, Bajaur, Khyber, Baluchistan and soon Waziristan. The phenomenal series of victories began with the conquest of the terrorist stronghold of Lal Masjid in Islamabad in 2007. Since that time there is no looking back ……. It is one never ending series of conquests.

The soon to be launched operation in Waziristan will be on an unprecedented scale, that will root out terrorism and extremism in this part of the world; will be a sterling contribution towards the allied forces mission in Afghanistan. The potential victory in Waziristan will be written in the annals of Military history on the same page as Stalingrad, Normandy, Al Alamien, Tarawa, and Midway.

What is caparision of Normandy and Waziristan operation. are you making joke in this moment of grif and anger and lose of precious lives.

All this mess is due to wrong dicision of musharaf to support US in Afghanistan.

Our leaders are saying this is Pakistan's war but why they are hidding inside their air condition rooms , they should participate and help atleast wounded soldiers and increase their motivation level.

The GHQ attack will have a positive side-effect.

Soldiers are most sensitive to any attack on their own. Now, every soldier and SSG commando is going to be chomping at the bit to get at the TTP scumbags in Waziristan, and their JM and LeJ cronies in Punjab.

The salafi swine leading the TTP should finish writing their final will as they may not have a lot of time left on this planet - they should prepare themselves for the tsunami that is coming their way...and soon!

Remember the Israeli hostages? NSG's hands were tied for a very long time. There were negotiations as well.
Plus there is also a difference between civilians and military hostages. Not to mention the Pak army and SSG were fighting on "home ground" literally as opposed to Taj hotel, Oberoi etc. Modern Hotels are mazes of corridors rooms, fire escapes, service lifts.

In the Taj operation (which took the most time) NSG had to rescue over 200 guests in various rooms. The terrorists were highly mobile and n touch with handlers who fed them information. They had scouted the interior of the building very well. Wonder what details about the current attack will come out.
Anyways comparisons are not apt before full details of the Pak SSG operation are revealed. I think we still don't know the whole story.
3 hostages and 2 soldiers have been killed - wonder if the Pak authorities wanted to end the siege early at all costs. Has the media been allowed inside details, interviews- the picture will be clearer in a few days/ months.
Till then - Pak's SSG, army know they are in the crosshairs of terrorists. It's a tough fight. It affects the morale of troops who would any day prefer open war against this death by a thousand cuts. Something the Indian army knows too well.
I think this mindless bloodshed can be stopped once governments and people realise that the enemy of everyone is within us. It is our fears that takes us to choose the path of violence.
