GHQ Check-Post Attackers Killed - Hostages Rescued!

Main cause was stated by Hakeemullah Mehsud before KL bill controversy. Revenge for killing of their top ***** terrorist BM. Who is fooling who now?

Still you are, See the time line, when BM killed how many attacks did happened after that, but when KLB came, we see more attacks started throughout the country. It is enough to prove my stance but, still you wont accept it since it will hurt your FoP

Here is the extract of an email I recieved from someone closed to me, who happens to be a close friend of Brigadier martyred recently in GHQ:

Talked to my father today, asked him about the whole story of Pindi incident.
He said the Brigadier worked with him in GHQ and they met a month back in KHI too. Both the officers were standing in front of the entry gate near their departments when they heard shots fired. A soldier passed them with a gun so they asked him what was happenning. He was actually a terrorist in uniform and shot both officers on spot! 5 SSG soldiers embraced Shahadat when the leader blew the room when they entered it, but the rest of the men Captured their leader at night badly wounded! Brave victory but many lives were lost!

A loss of life is terrible in any form but when it comes to our heroes it is something special and a message to us the 'Sleep tight we are awake'.

May Allah Grant them the best place in heaven and give us strength to eradicate the menace called Taliban.:pakistan::pakistan:

Itna hi pyaar hai agar Taliban or dehshatgardon say to agli daffa un kay saath assault ya bombing may shamil ho jana, kam us kam tumhari beaighariat post tau nahin parhni paray gi. :disagree:

zara aqal istemaal kerna seekh lo aur respect kerna seekho, agar allah ne dia hai to.

That is the key boss. Think about the links of Geo with the terrorists and mafia.

Geo is involved in some seriously anti Pakistan activities. Just think about their role from 2006 and onwards.

Most peopel don't know this but Geo's owners are big sattay baz. There are empty plots on DHAs which are never sold but are used to increase/ decrease the price of land in order to create chaos in real estate markets.

Mir Shakeel ur Rehaman and Mir Javed ur Rehaman, owners of Geo, have alot of investment in KSE and agian this investment is used to control the stock market.

These are blackmailing techniques employed by Geo.

Furthermore, if someone threatens to take them to court for misquoting then Geo will either find something about him or his family member and then blackmail on that point. They may even go to his superiors and blackmail them instead to get the desired results.

There are managers at Geo who say then have no clue about the funds coming into Geo.

I second you on that...I know atleast two of my collaegues working on a senior manager posts...as per one of them they dont know where this money is even coming from. There is so much influs of money.

Well taimi mate, let's not be talking about the layout of GHQ anymore. It was NOT MI's office, that's it. Let people think whatever they want to, otherwise not many civilians would be enjoying the luxury to peep inside the GHQ!

FRIST great, response by you SIR!;):smitten::pakistan:
& dear, tami DONT disscus the things, which cant be discussed!;)

Rawalpindi: An Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) here on Friday extended the physical remand of four men allegedly involved in the Marriott Hotel suicide attack for one more week. The court directed the police to complete further investigation and produce the accused on the next hearing of the case on October 31.

The Secretariat Police Station registered a case under Sections 302, 324, 427, 436, 109, 3/4 Explosive Act of Pakistan and 7-ATA against Dr. Muhammad Usman, Rana Ilyas Ahmed, Muhammad Hameed Afzal and Tehsinullah Khan for their alleged involvement in the September 20 suicide attack on the Marriott.

Police had arrested the accused on October 16 and produced them before the court. AFP adds: The September 20 attack was carried out by a suicide bomber in a dumper truck who detonated 600 kilograms (1,300 pounds) of explosives outside the luxury hotel, killing at least 60 people and wounding more than 260.

“We obtained a seven-day remand for the four suspects who were produced before the court on Friday,” police official Altaf Khattak told AFP. The men were arrested recently from Islamabad and Rawalpindi, he said.

No further details of their identities or their affiliations were available.Khattak said the suspects would be interrogated by a joint investigation team comprising senior police and intelligence officials. Officials have said they suspect Osama bin Laden’s Al-Qaeda network was behind the attack, one of the most devastating in the country’s history.

Is it the same Dr. Usman?

If he was, was he released by the court on remand or due to lack of evidence?

Yes Agno, he is the same (Mr. Ansar Abbasi has confirmed this in his recent column here Jang Group Online). Unfortunately, there is no more info on this in the media. I am trying to search. For whatever the reason he was released, it is clear that our intelligence agencies are either not working efficiently or they are simply overwhelmed due to the workload. Maybe they need to recruit more men.

Rawalpindi attack mastermind previously arrested and released

The terror commander who led the assault and siege on Pakistan's Army General Headquarters last weekend was previously in police custody for involvement in the suicide attack on the Islamabad Marriott in September 2008.

The Taliban commander, who is known as Dr. Usman, led the 10-man assault team that a few days ago attacked the front checkpoint at Army General Headquarters, entered the compound, and took 42 hostages. In the 18-hour crisis that shut down Pakistan's Army command, 14 Pakistani troops were killed, including a brigadier general, a lieutenant colonel, and six commandos from the Special Services Group, along with nine terrorists. Thirty-nine hostages were freed during the commando assault that ended the siege.

Dr. Usman is the only terrorist to have survived the assault. He escaped the initial commando assault and was wounded and then captured in another section of the building.

Dr. Usman was previously in the custody of Pakistani security forces for his suspected involvement in the suicide attack at the Islamabad Marriott in September 2008. Dr. Usman was detained along with Rana Ilyas, Muhammad Hameed Afzal, and Tehseenullah Khan, according to a report in Daily Times from October 2008. The four men were described as being "linked to an organized terrorist network operating in the NWFP and Punjab."

It is not clear when Dr. Usman was released from custody. According to the Daily Times, on Aug. 9, 2009, the Anti-Terrorism Court completed a hearing on an acquittal plea filed by Dr. Usman relating to his involvement in the Marriott suicide attack. The court rejected the plea on Sept. 22, 2009.

Dr. Usman, who is also known as Mohammad Aqeel, served in the Pakistani Army Medical Corps until 2006, when he left the military and joined the Jaish-e-Mohammad, Daily Times reported. He later joined the Harkat-ul-Jihad-Al-Islami, which is led by Qari Saifullah Akhar. Dr. Usman served under Ilyas Kashmiri, the former Special Services Group commando who served as the operations chief for HuJI (the US killed Kashmiri during an airstrike in North Waziristan in September).

Kashmiri formed the Amjad Farooqi Group from the HuJI cadre, and the group is largely manned with Punjabi jihadis, many with military experience. Amjad Farooqi, who was killed by Pakistani security forces in 2004, led two assassination attempts against then-President Pervez Musharraf. Dr. Usman is also thought to be involved in the planning of those operations.

The Amjad Farooqi Group is often referred to as the "Punjabi Taliban" and has close ties to the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan, al Qaeda, and other jihadi groups in Pakistan.

Dr. Usman is said to have organized and led some of the most high-profile attacks carried out by the Amjad Farooqi Group. Along with the Islamabad Marriott suicide attack, Dr. Usman has been implicated in the ambush that targeted the Sri Lankan national cricket team in Lahore in March 2009 and the suicide attack that killed Lieutenant General Mushtaq Ahmed Baig, the Surgeon General of the Army Medical Corps, in February 2008. Dr. Usman worked with Mushtaq during his time in the Army. General Mushtaq is the senior-most Pakistani general killed by the Taliban.

The Amjad Farooqi Group and Dr. Usman are also thought to be involved in a suicide bombing in February 2007 at the Islamabad airport that targeted former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.
