Gaza-Israel Conflict | October 2023

. . .

The two Tweets are very interesting in the sense that if you are out of your house, perhaps to enjoy nice Med. Sea breeze on a weekend night, you wouldn't want to be looking at the sky for some incoming rockets even if those 100% of those rockets would be shot down. You wouldn't want to be staying at a pricy hotel, even if beach front, when the hotel has 'bomb shelters' or 'safe rooms'. You want to enjoy the Mediterranean Climate: Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Italy are not far off from Tel Aviv.
You really shouldn't

It's all relative. In general, the UK has always been the most tolerant nation on Earth, at least in modern history. They still don't have the stupid laws like in Germany and France about the ongoing conflict. The Continental Europeans are a fascists in comparison--I started to notice that during the Covid pandemic lockdowns. America is far greater than any of them for personal freedoms and freedom of expression, in comparison.
But all this for another thread.

Is Israel really able to eliminate Hamas in its entirety? That is wishful thinking. Not only that, Hamas was created by Israel to eliminate PLO. Today the US, Europe and Israel are using the Hamas excuse to wage a war against Palestinians. LOL suddenly PLO is again the side that the Israelis, Europeans and Americans want to negotiate with.

If they didn't have the intel to anticipate such a massive attack October 7th, you can bet they have no intel on mujahideen positions and they are randomly bombing civilian infrastructure all over the Strip. Pure unrestrained vengeance.

I will lose all respect you if you don't retract that lie about Hamas being created by Israel.

LOL The GCC Arab leaders are crying for a ceasefire... Blinken overrules them all.

Safadi

First up was the Jordanian FM, who reiterated the demand from all Arab countries for an immediate ceasefire

Safadi said the region was sinking into a "sea of hatred" and Jordan did not accept that the "killing of the innocent" and the destruction caused by the war was "self defence"

"It cannot be justified under any pretext and it will not bring Israel security," he said

Safai spoke against acts of Islamophobia and anti-semitism, saying the Israel-Gaza conflict "is not a war between Muslims and Jews"

Blinken

Next came Blinken, who thanked Egypt for facilitating the passage of aid and injured civilians between Gaza and Egypt

He reaffirmed the US position that Israel has the right to defend itself against Hamas, but added "it must take every possible measure to prevent civilian casualties".

Blinken added that while the US continues to believe in the two-state solution, "we all recognise we can't go back to the status quo"
Shoukry

The Egyptian FM called for a ceasefire in Gaza "without any condition"

Shoukry said that during talks with Blinken he warned against "double standards" in the condemnation of attacks - as if "Arab blood" was lesser than others

He said any discussion of what a future for Gaza without Hamas would look like was "premature"

The Americans are aiding the Israelis.

You are right though. The Israelis are killing everyone on their way.

#Urgent| A number of martyrs and injuries were transferred in the targeting of two homes for the Samaan and Al-Muzain family in the Al-Salahat roundabout area in Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.

but this is the IDF that we have clearly seen that without its air force is relatively and equal opponent for Hamas, which is something Israel doesn't want. And Hamas is clearly not going to be too affected by the Israeli air force. If Israel didn't like the casualties it took in the long war against Hezbollah in their invasion of Lebanon imagine how bad it will be against mujahideen Hamas that has clearly taken lessons in modern urban and guerrilla warfare
The problem is,Hamas doesn't have a problem about civilians getting bombed on the surface, while they are underground and fighting when opportunity comes. The problem for the IDF is,that they know an urban battle against Hamas and their friends, would be a disaster. This isn't Jenin in the 2000s,this isn't the West Bank of the Second Intifada. The enemy militias have drones now, they have ATGMs,they have night vision goggles, they have dug tunnels under the ground. Israelis now see how they had been stockpiling weapons they got from Iran,Lebanon and other countries for years. And the IDF recruits don't seem eager to die for Netanyahu's war. They want to see Hamas defeated, but they probably don't want to get inside a chaotic Gaza, full of angry Palestinians who will drag them from their tanks and beat them to death.

I think the best exchange for the hostages would be Netanyahu for all the hostages.
