Why do they keep getting kidnapped by the dozens once every year? Same story every year. 14 armed adult men with military training captured...

Fars news posted a segment that some knock out gas canister was thrown in their compound at 4:00am when they were sleeping, and then they were carried out unconscious inside Pakestan.

Also its a very long border! These terrorists/ drug smugglers sneak in and they are heavily armed. Then they run back inside your country.

This is an abduction case right now, but if they are harmed, then Iran will take action.

I don't see why it should. If they were on our side of the border, they deserve to be kidnapped. If they were on their own side of the border, they are responsible for security there - not us.

But Pakistan should keep in mind it's inaction will be taken negatively

Yeah, I think incompetence in this matter is definitely 50:50 though. Pakistan is aware that this border has activity happening on it which is not in it's best interests and doesn't act (probably citing limited resources, or lack of priority). Meanwhile the Iranians seem all worked up about it, but aren't doing anything practical either.

Fence the border, mine it, employ CCTV, guard towers, forts, UAV's, increased border patrol. This should be done on both sides of the border, but if we aren't doing it, there is nothing stopping Iran.

There's also loads both countries could do together. If they cooperated on fencing the border they could coordinate patrols and locations of towers and forts, share intel, keepthe border safer with less cost to both sides.
