On December 22, joint air patrol of Pakistan-Iran border began to improve border security. Pakistan Army Bell 412EP (Enhanced Performance) helicopter performing the first joint air patrol mission carried officials of the two neighboring countries. The joint air patrol missions will help in controlling smuggling and movement of criminals/terrorists.

I agree with some of the Pakistani people here, this is the fault mainly of Iranian security incompetence. For sure these militants have safe haven in Pakistani side, but this happened in the Iranian side so what kind of border security is this to let so many terrorists enter, take your soldiers (who don't fight back??), then leave with them!

but it is difficult because hezbollah did this a lot with israeli soldiers too, but israel border very small so easy to build a wall, iran-pakistan border is 1000km!

Lets be realistic shall we. You are dealing with a nuclear power who can send a missile with a nuke up the arse of the revolutionary guards and blows up a whole freaking city and country. You need to be realistic and try working out with Pakistan to eliminate terrorists sponsored by Saudi Arabia. And don't start a fight which will end up costing you the whole country.

In these kind of cases neither Iran nor Pakistani Security Agencies will tell the true picture. Usual state propaganda will prevail. And People of both side will start chest thumping on heir own narratives. Not good for relations of both countries at the end.
But the point is, its all up-to the government of the effectees of such incidents to set the perimeters of relations. Baluchistan is a huge swatch of scarcely populated landscape with harsh terrain. Our security forces loose so many officials fighting Smugglers, terrorists and separatists their.
See Russian Ambassador was assassinated in Turkey even, but Their was no dent in Relations of both countries. Iran can either blow this incident out of epic proportions or keep it as it is and coordinate with Security officials of Pakistan to resolve these problems. Its all upto the government and their foreign policy goals.(Appeasing their huge customer to the east of Pakistan or Keeping good relations with Pakistan)
