What's new

First Mi-35 and Now $ 900 M Aid? Would it be too much to Swallow?

I still remembered our former finance minister words that "We don't want your peanuts as aid ,we are so good without it.We will fight poverty by ourself and we are sure that we are going to eradicate not today but in coming years.

And Here we got another country who is so proud for getting aid like never before:disagree:

you are missing the point, it's not the money we are happy about but what we are going to buy with it.
Yes you guessed it MI-35

thats like adding salt to the wounds

we love to kill our enemies and we getting paid for the job too? why we wont love it?

I like beef stake too

holy or not ....
it is still tasty and better than Buffalo

one Indian troll started suggesting that they will launch a US Navy style attack on Pakistan and then they had their Helicopter force landed.

LOL

I saw Nat geo - an orphaned rhino calf, an orphaned whale calf, an orphaned lions pup and an abandoned tigress pup all were fed with a "holy" cow's milk and they grew and became adults.

Now imagine someone trying to milk a whale or a rhino or a lioness or a tigress to nurse an abandoned calf of their kind - I am sure a ghazi Pakistani might be successful in milking a mother whale, a tigress, a lioness and a rhino mother. - I am sure a Pakistani gazi can milk a tigress in the wild with his bare jihadi hands.

But we normal humans will depend on a "holy" cows milk if we have to save an orphaned "anything calf".

Don't insult an Hindu's sentiment when he holds a cow holy, which irrespective of the animal kind feeds any kid/calf or orphan with her nectar - including "humans" without discrimination. I don't think Muslims are evolved enough to "appreciate" it - otherwise they wouldn't be "beheading with a blunt knife" their kind.

Don't care for what some Swami writes to lift the Indian tails, here's more neutral assessment of the situation.

Let Govt of India statement and PAK statement:

However, the official statement by the Indian government released later denies that Loonda Post was captured by the Pakistan Army

It is not factually correct that the Pakistan troops had occupied a strategic post on our side of the Line of Control which necessitated a massive attack by Indian troops & air force on Loonda post in Machal sector. However, in the last week of July 2002, there was minor Pakistan intrusion, approximately 800 meters on our side of the Line of Control in the area of Point 3260, which is 1800 meters East of Loonda post.”

As to why the feature was lost to Pakistani troops;

Point 3260 is not considered tactically important and viable for physical occupation by our own troops. Being in close proximity of the Line of Control and the area not being physically occupied, Pakistan troops had intruded into this area. However, since the area is regularly patrolled by our own troops, they observed presence of some Pakistan troops in the area of Point 3260 on July 26, 2002”

spate of denials and counter-denials by the Indian Air Force and Army when the story was ‘leaked’ to the public. The confusion continued for months till Defence Minister George Fernandes confirmed the incident in Parliament in November.

Here what PAK govt Said:

Battle in Gultari?
In a press conference on 23rd August 2002, PA public relations officer Major General Rashid Quereshi,
known for dishonest statements since the Kargil War, alledged that the IAF had attacked forward Pakistani posts in Gultari area in support of the Indian Army on night of 22nd/23rd. It was claimed that the PA had retaliated in defence leading to death of Indian troops. The Indian Army completely denied the whole affair and furnished that no casualties had occurred in that timeframe.

The claim coincided with the visit of a senior American diplomat Richard Armitage to Pakistan, and hence is thought to be fabricated and not related to the Loonda post incident. Possibly the bogey was raised to pre-empt any such plans by the Indian armed forces?

It is not clear as to why there was no such claim from the Pakistani side during the actual battle in Machal. It can be speculated that since it would mean admission of defeat, Pakistani sources did not reveal it. Secondly, the Pakistani claim would have been untenable given the sanctity the marked LoC boundary enjoys since the Kargil War in international circles.

Pakistan military spokesman Major-General Rashid Qureshi points towards a map during a news conference in Islamabad August 23, 2002. Pakistan on Friday accused India of sending troops and its air force to attack a Pakistani mountain outpost in the north of the disputed Kashmir region overnight, in what Islamabad called a "highly irresponsible and escalatory act."

Commanding officer Brig. Iftikhar, points out a Pakistan army post on a map along the Line of Control which was attacked by Indian forces during a briefing in Chakoti in Pakistani Kashmir, Saturday, Aug 24, 2002. According to a Pakistani military spokesman India launched a massive attack at a Pakistani post in Kashmir last Thursday. Amid reports of fresh violence in Kashmir, Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage said Saturday it was up to Pakistan and India to find a solution to the long-standing crisis over the disputed Kashmir.

Commanding officer Ayyaz Ahmed shows shrapnels Indian artillery fired across the border on Pakistani post in Gultari at the Line of Control between Pakistan and India, Thursday, Aug 29, 2002. Pakistan and India are constantly exchanging heavy artillery over the Kashmir dispute.

''There are several conflicting explanations given for why India finally pulled back. Some observers have argued that the threat actually worked, for India did not see high level of terrorism again until 2008. Others argue that India having failed to scare Pakistan, gave up rather than go to a possibly nuclear war. In late 2002, BJP Government was politically weak, due to several internal factors. Operation Parakram was costing the government Rs. 3 crore a day, which it had to finance by raising taxes by 4%. Combined with the American threat of economic punishment, the standoff had grown unpopular among the business community.''

please see the PAK Army own state of 2002.... I hope you like senior should have known about it.

Albeit there was a lot of air activity but no attacks were carried out by any air force. The slow moving Atlantique was cowardly shot down by supersonic jets.

Agreed, but atlantique was on
A) Electronic warfare mission ?
B) why it Flying within 10KM of line which as per agreement prohibited to fly within 10km of borders
C) why the Wreckage falls on the border line?
D) why Atlantique which should be flying over the sea is flying over Land?
E) why training mission is closed to border which is hostile environment.

And do you forget that PA shot down three IAF aircraft earlier during Kargil conflict besides since PA had occupied Kargil heights, what stopped the IAF or IA to launch attack on Pakistani side of the border. !!

Well it was stopped by US , didn't you seen army chief sitting in China and PM calling KSA and US to stop India.

IAF flown and operation in Kargil was in fact become a case for every AF , in such small area IAF done a great job. Yes casualty was their , but IAF learnt the lesson.

what can be more better

enjoy the job of killing enemies of Pakistan and then get paid for it as well by the Yanks? using the Russian copters?

what can be more better?
Not having the terrorists running amok in Pakistan killing civilians and military at will on a daily basis. I am sure that would have been better than the 3 points you mentioned.

Funny Part is India buying American Weapon Paying Top Dollar and indirectly funding Pakistan Aid and then paying to lobby to stop aid flow to pakistan thats just pure hypocrisy.
