Dear Sir , dont take it literally... I urge you to google the meaning of the above stated sentence.The punishment for killing a Buddha is to be reincarnated in the lowest level of Hell, 無間地獄 (Avici).
Don't do it sir.
I thought that's a Japanese phrase which means that Buddha is none other than you and if you find the image of Buddha within someone else you should kill that image.The punishment for killing a Buddha is to be reincarnated in the lowest level of Hell, 無間地獄 (Avici).

By killing Buddha, it doesn't mean that you physically kill the Buddha but it means is that you kill the perception you have about someone else being the Buddha. As I know, according to Zen Buddhism every human being is a Buddha and all an individual has to do is to discover the Buddha within himself/herself. Personally I think that Zen Buddhism makes sense than any other version of Buddhism as it clearly rejects dogma which is actually the aim of Buddhism.I know the first part of what you said, but not the second part.
Maybe our friend Nihonjin can clarify.
I'm pretty sure that killing a Buddha is one of the worst sins, that can get you sent to Avici.

By the way, Zen Buddhism was first established in China and it's called "Chan" in China and "Zen" in Japan.
@Nihonjin1051 , any idea?
What did Zee News think before telecasting it? Hain? Did they really think that they have freedom of expression with so many Muslims around? hain? I strongly condomn this. Also, that reporter should be awarded 500 lashes and then hanged immediately.

Haters gone hate but truth is we don't prescribe to such idiotic laws, that puts us squarely in the bracket of other civilized, mature, secular democracies, that don't proscribe such idiocy either.
still better than terror infested PakistanSTFU already. The guy whose country continuously releases people involved in communal riots and violence talks about "idiotic" laws and being a civilized country. Don't force me son to use those words that your country deserves. Did you guys sell your shame and respect in some bazar in mumbai that you are making big claim of belonging to a civilized country?
and otherwise he was quite comfortable in india.

Why are so many of you such barefaced hypocrites???
What a hypocrite you are. Claiming to be a ''socialist'' and then wailing about MF Hussai committing idolatory by painting hindu characters?
Too much freedom to say anything, PRACTICE anything and PREACH anything, when you don't belong to the culture of the land, gives you that air of conceitedness and thanklessness.
