Export bids for JF-17 Thunder Multirole Lightweight Fighter Aircraft

Most likely customers for FC1 will those already using F7 from china.

They are most likely severly restricted to buy other fighters due to cost or no serious diplomatic or st6rategic association.

At guess

Bangladesh, VEITNAM, north korea....Iran mynamar...

It can take decades to win the TRUST of a weapons supplier and can be lost in days. ie Pakistan USA casing point.

There are very few new single engined entrants into the 4th gen market.

TOP END GRIPEN bottom end FC1... ( COSTWISE)

The main market for single engined markets has been dominated by F16 & MIRAGE2000 FOR LAST 25 years.

Pontentially you people are right there are literally hundreds of F7 & MIG21 needed to be replaced. Mostly in AFRICA former EAST EUROPE and south east ASIA.

Pakistan didn't lose the trust of Lockheed Martin or Boeing or anyother US corp. All they want is money and trust me, they will sell to even Iran if they could, to get more money. The fact that Lockheed Martin is upgrading the P3s of Pakistan Navy and F-16s of PAF, is the fact that they have no problem in doing the business. So your this trust bullshyt is nothing but wrong. Yes the country's diplomatic relationship is in tatters and Pakistan needs to think that like in the past, if US sanctions it, then the corporations won't be able to supply the spare parts, ammunition etc. So we want to future proof and if that is anything, it is learning from past mistakes.

Secondly, if Bangladesh said, hey we have 5 billion dollar tender to give out for so and so squadrons of jets, i am sure Lockheed Martin would be the first company to pit a tender..........remember its all about who can pay and who cannot.

JF-17 is a win situation for Pakistan, as for the first time, Pakistan can actually dictate and get what it wants, rather than being restricted by what the US corporation can offer as export....plus the host of weapons that JF-17s can carry, those too of Chinese Origin, so no need to worry about running them out or any sanctions etc.

We know FC-1-JF-17 is a new 4th generation platform with the single most focus at the moment on WS engine other then that the global fighter jets are all introducing new avionics and other equipment so there is no need to finger point and bash JF-17 understandable West has an upper hand in quality but it is not to say China is that poor at it, PAF has help alot in standardizing the sense of carefulness and quality has been introduced and will from now on be part of it gradually.

Which country is not restricted by the cost even F-35 costs is making customers cut down their orders. Apart from Bangladesh, (myanmar) non other countries you mentioned would go for FC-1 for the reason russian have found a dumping ground to sell oldest migs to vietnam for a quick cash, n. koreans are out of cash spent it all on russian migs(23-25-29) and are still with atleast 12 squadrons in critical need of replacement but are unable to even afford upgraded F-7s similar to Bangladeshi BGI.
myanmar air force is more interested in JH-7 heard their requirement is around 8-10 more airframes and later on super galab might also be replaced with JH-7 instead of buying 4-6 FC-1s; Yes If in the future F-7 replacement is due FC-1 could be a potential but then comes older mig-29s from russian any cheap offer by russians to sell 25 year old russian inventory.

Actually F-16 for the next 5 years would be still strong in marketing as more than 500 F-16s are out there to be replaced their refurbishment and still life left in them middle-east would be a great dumping ground apparently Jordan is looking for 5 more squadrons and LM is very interested in selling it offering 200 more AMRAAMs to Jordon with F-16s would be a win-win for Jordan and LM.

No doubt LM surplus F-16 vipers can be a potent weapon system. Judging from Indonesian and Taiwan deals, it takes at least $20-25 millions (US) to refurbish a well-preserved viper specimen stored in arid Arizona climate. Lockheed can & will offer very aggressive terms with superb performance and growth potential in the platform. The only weak link is reliability of used systems versus a brand new aircraft and ,in some cases, fear of future US sanctions.

Thunders will have to better the unit cost per ship (which they do), prove comparable performance and range of weaponry, reliable spares supply for next quarter century, and lucrative terms of financing PLUS is many cases willingness to offer "incentives" to decision-makers in respective buyer nations (yes that would be bribes/commissions).

For FC-1 , no. From what I understand.
difference b/w FC 1 and jf-17 is mere avionics..
PAC has 50 share in design and airframe and basic systems..
it will get atleast 50 percent share..
so in every aircraft the airframe, 50% will be share of PAC

i dont know why it has been made so much confusing by various members..

however it also depends whether kamara can full fill the orders or not...

Kamra. No.
PAC. Yes.

From the pre-production payment, 2-3 production facilities would be built in Pakistan.

I don’t know how far they took it or they can take it but apparently in Sri Lanka the Chinese operated a consignment stock system with the Sri Lankan military. Norinco (???) opened a huge warehouse in Sri Lanka and kept it stocked with everything the thought the SL military needed and they could provide. So for the SLA and AF, their needs were just down the road or possibly even on their premises. … … “Brilliant!”, I say.

anyone knows when will all the interested countries in JF thunder be placing firm orders?

French-made Rafale aircraft are likely to fight with the JF-17, to fight over contract Serbian Air Force fleet rejuvenation. State ex-Yugloslavia it has budgeted about 1 billion euros ($ 11.8 billion) to buy about 12 new aircraft.

JFT has a huge export potential and demand is already there. Do not forget that this demand is increasing and delegations are visiting China/ Pakistan to see the bird first hand despite knowing that PAF orders will be fulfilled initially.

.
why any country should go for a fighter aircraft which cannot perform even a simple complete loop???

.
JF-17 is capable of many things that aren't shown to public.
Son, better not come to conclusions unless you have total knowledge yourself.
