That one made my day. It is such a sweet hiding I can almost feel the pain of his flaming arse .Brilliant!!!!!. Pity I could not give you more ratings otherwise I would have. Anyway, as a side note "Bachon par ziada Zulm na karo aur haath zara halka rakho"
Kindest regards
Araz.

I am of the opinion that Pakistan shouldn't sell JF-17 to Myanmar. Considering the sway India has in Myanmar, how will China and Pakistan ascertain that the explicit details of the jet wont be shared with India to exploit.

No confirmation as of yet .. Maybe it is SL.
On a side note in the article printed recently there is an indication of Bulgaria possibly signing a deal as well. This would be the beginning of what we have been talking about for decades.

Pakistan itself is only one partner in the deal. this was more an inducement from China and we have to respect what our partners do. Politics aside the sale is good for JFT and we cant truely be too choosy at this stage in the plane@s life.

Mayanmar would most likely be getting cheap and stripped down export version of JF-17.

Comprising jet secrets just to score a customer defies logic. It is understandable that PAF is desperately seeking foreign buyers, however, selling to the likes of Myanmar that can provide critical info to our enemy would be like PAF digging it's own grave.

All those eventualities would have been taken into account before making the pitch. PAF and PLAAF have done their home work.

Most likely JF-17 Blk 2 will be sold and by that time Pakistan would have Blk 3 and most likely with AESA and other goodies. I understand that Blk 3 will be radically different a beast than Blk 2 hence technology would not be compromised.

China has more clout with the Military regime in Burma than India, but one thing is that we all know is corruption is rife in these countries so for India to gain access to the plane I would not rule out entirely if Burma is indeed the purchaser.

PAF is certainly not known for making sound decisions or acting ahead of time and it's history is a testament to this fact, but let's hope that it has developed the much needed forethought.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has won the first order for its JF-17 Thunder jet fighters, an air force spokesman said Monday, a long-held goal for the nation which wants to boost its military exports.

The latest models of the jets, which are locally produced in cooperation with Pakistan's close ally China, are lightweight multi-role aircraft capable of Mach 2.0 (twice the speed of sound) with an operational ceiling of 55,000 feet.

Speaking to AFP from the Paris Air Show by phone, Air Commodore Syed Muhammad Ali said an order for the plane had been finalised but declined to give details.

“That's the case, we've finalised the order,” he said, citing sensitivities for not naming the client, the number of aircraft or the date of delivery.

A report on the aviation website Flightglobal.com quoted another senior officer, Air Commodore Khalid Mahmood, as saying the sale had been made to an “Asian country” and the delivery would take place in 2017.

The report added that 80 people were promoting the JF-17 in Paris this year, reflecting a significant marketing push.

Pakistan's large and well-funded military has long been a major importer of defence equipment, particularly from China.

But Pakistan is hoping the updated JF-17, along with Pakistani-made tanks and surveillance drones, will help increase military exports and bring in much-needed foreign exchange.

Analysts believe the major selling point of the JF-17 is its cost, which is likely to be substantially less than the $16-18 million cost of an US-made F-16.

The Paris Air show runs from June 15 to 21, with the final three days open to the public.
