We have a school whatsapp group...many girls have now settled in US ..one day one of my friends said she was suffering from fever for 2 days.I said "ayyo your hubby and your children might be facing problems because you are unable to cook"..It didnt occur to me one bit that it would hurt her..i felt i was expressing my sympathy to her.
This response made all the women in the group who have been residing in the US angry..they said "how could you say like that?your question should be how is your hubby helping you while you are in bed?"
A couple of more incidents happened in that group after which i realised how backwards we are in terms of our thinking...we dont even realise that there is gender discrimination in our thoughts...if this jameel was a Christian and said the same thing in a western country he would have been ripped apart and here we are trying to justify/defend him...to be honest even this moulana would not have felt what he said would invoke such a reaction..for him it would have been a common thing..blaming women's choice of dressing for a pandemic..
But i am glad that there is a huge response from womens organisations and feminists in pakistan that this mullah was forced to apologise...to be honest I was surprised ..there is a ray of hope for pakistan in future..

What he and his friends fail to understand is that the original 7th century Islam wasn't just another way of prayer, ritual and dress-codes, it was a Leftist ideology that brought rights to people and codified them in a systematic way. NO the message came to prophet Muhammed ONLY in the form of the quran and hadith is his life (although some mistakes in recordings). That's the end.

Too much pride will make you fall. Corona proved how humans are way too powerless in front of the calamity.
