india is not to be trusted, they are fascist in nature, they are Pakistans eternal enemy.
it's only you who uses this term ''great satan''
the US is not accusing Pakistanis of being terrorists or terrorist supporters; it is accusing us of providing havens or being ''unable'' or ''unwilling'' to tackle anti-NATO resistance in the porous border region....which is basically the same charge we have on them, regarding anti-Pakistan elements in Afghanistan which are posing more of a risk. Your post completely overlooks that ''minor detail'' and doesnt take that into consideration.
as for the rest of your post - the power of perception management by the media.....all it takes is to dig deeper to see that it is india that is at logger-heads with all of its neighbours - even Nepal. So ''world stage'' may sound appealing and all this sudden attention has you wagging your tails but at the end of the day its in your own interest to be at peace with your neighbours.
"The fact remains that the Quetta Shura [Taliban] and the Haqqani Network operate from Pakistan with impunity," Mullen said in his written testimony. "Extremist organizations serving as proxies of the government of Pakistan are attacking Afghan troops and civilians as well as US soldiers."
Mullen continued: "For example, we believe the Haqqani Network--which has long enjoyed the support and protection of the Pakistani government and is, in many ways, a strategic arm of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence Agency--is responsible for the September 13th attacks against the U.S. Embassy in Kabul."

Fascists seek rejuvenation of their nation based on commitment to an organic national community where its individuals are united together as one people in national identity by suprapersonal connections of ancestry, culture, and blood through a totalitarian single-party state that seeks the mass mobilization of a nation through discipline, indoctrination, physical education
Fascism promotes political violence and war, as forms of direct action that create national regeneration, spirit and vitality.[3][6] Fascists commonly utilize paramilitary organizations for violence against opponents or to overthrow a political system.[7] Fascism opposes multiple ideologies: conservatism, liberalism, and two major forms of socialismcommunism and social democracy.[8] Fascism claims to represent a synthesis of cohesive ideas previously divided between traditional political ideologies.[9] To achieve its goals, the fascist state purges forces, ideas, people, and systems deemed to be the cause of decadence and degeneration.[10]
The fascist party and state is led by a supreme leader who exercises a dictatorship over the party, the government and other state institutions.[12] Fascism rejects liberal democracy based upon majority rule and the parliamentary system but fascists deny that they are against democracy as a whole.[13] Fascism condemns liberal democracy for basing government legitimacy on quantity rather than quality, and for causing quarreling partisan politics.[14] Fascists claim that their ideology is a trans-class movement, advocating resolution to domestic class conflict within a nation to secure national solidarity.[15] It claims that its goal of cultural nationalization of society emancipates the nation's proletariat, and promotes the assimilation of all classes into proletarian national culture.[15] While fascism opposes domestic class conflict, fascism believes that bourgeois-proletarian conflict primarily exists in national conflict between proletarian nations versus bourgeois nations; fascism declares support for the victory of proletarian nations.[16]
hate begets hate
Haha, ToI sounds so desperate, are they willing to have peace at any cost?
Congrats to Pakistan, you have the Indians right where you want them: cornered, begging at the negotiating table.
I do not hate the ordinary indian on the street, he is to be pitied, more than hated, and I count a number of indians both in country and abroad as dear friends, and some have even worked to achieve our NSO's.
The mistrust is for the indian state, which I firmly believe is a neo-colonial hegemonic kleptocracy.
Lets hope for the best. But would civilians carry enough weight to resolve it?

"The era of wars has ended. We are ready to sit and resolve all core issues? whether it is Kashmir, Sir Creek, Siachen, water or terrorism ? at the negotiating table," Gilani said while addressing a conference on the role of NGOs in the development of Pakistan.
