Sir relax, has nothing with them being Pakistani, there are numerous incidents here in Europe, where people used words like bomb and terrorist, usually in jokes, and then being arrested. These days it is simply stupid to joke about such matters

yeah, i also agree with you! My dad's name was Saifullah (meaning Sword of Allah in Arabic), and just because of his name he went through A LOT of security check, he asked the security guy why were they checking him more than the others? and the security replied "Sir, please change your name"!

So basically, if they can suspect you just because of your name, then imagine how serious it will get for just joking around using words like "terrorist" and "bomb"!

Well you should take care what you say and where you say it. Forget airlines man, even the immigration officers and the military guy after immigration desks give everyone a hard time in Pakistan. Their pride surpasses their body size.

Regarding your jokes, this is a well known fact way before 9/11, security of people is of great importance.

This got nothing to do with discrimination. There are millions of Pakistanis who travel on Emirates regularly and face no discrimination. I've travelled on Emirates many times and found the service to be excellent.

The idiots were joking about being terrorists, they would've had much worse here in the United States if they were joking about being terrorists before boarding a plane in the U.S. They would've been in prison.

Arabs tend to have a very misplaced sense of racial superiority from my own personal experience. They treat East Asians with derision and sometimes disgust and it's not surprising they do the same with South Asians.

I know one case where south asian guy who got departed from flight because he was showing some building from plane to his sister in law..

I think Pakistanis need to stop being insulted for such small and trivial issues. Such things are not uncommon, famous stars, politicians and some military personnel have undergone such treatment and its all in the greater good of commercial aviation. PIA's international service isn't bad at all and has improved alot... in Fact I occasionally visit between Canada and Pakistan via PIA and have no issues except for the horrible entertainment system with not a single decent movie..

Although my personal favorite is KLM and I do enjoy going on Etihad..

In Latest acts of Discrimination , Pakistani Youth who was to be married , was going to Pakistan on so Emirates was deemed a security threat becasue his best men , were joking and making fun of him ....

Allegedly the world terrorist was used by his friends in some jokes and , just before the plane was to go to Pakistan - they get off loaded by Armed policemen - and then BANNED even after nothing was proven , instead of being - offered apology and return on cash refund they had to borrow money , on airport to be able to get home

The guy's wedding plane went out the door -

Making stupid jokes at the airport is the height of stupidity. Due to the global security situation, we have to ask in a prudent manner especially at the airports. These guys must have contributed to the off boarding incident. I have travelled through UAE and it was fine.

Man, just last week a Yemeni jet had been caught and tracked back to Dubai as a part of bomb parcel. Remember the Canadian and US fighters escorting the remaining part of the cargo?

Naturally UAE government will be up in arms about such a thing. The immigrants living there live with the assurance of security and strong laws apart from money factors. If anything bad happens (hope never), it would spell doom for their economy.
