Egyptian security forces raided the office of an Iranian TV channel in Cairo and detained its director, Ahmed al-Sioufi, the media outlet reported on Saturday.

“The security forces also seized equipment and devices from the channel without giving any explanation for these actions,” the Arab language satellite channel, Al Alam, said on its website.
Reuters reported that a security source confirmed the news and said the TV station did not have a license.

Ousted Islamist President Mohammed Mursi sought to better Egypt’s relations with the Islamist republic after diplomatic relations were severed during the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran.

Why not to ban Iranian channels from ArabSat and NileSat?

We own the Arabsat, no Iranian TV channels were aired from it AFAIK.

As for the Nile sat, Mubarak banned all Iranian TV channels, but Morsi lifted the bans, but it seems the Egyys can't break the old habit of being Anti-Iran from this day forth.

BTW, we've got 12 more satalites as well. :azn: Two of them are upper hi-tech :bounce:

Is this like...big news? lol

Well,

I think the eggy liberals, leftists, and nationalists are sending a clear message that since " Iran backed up the MB to their fullest, we will retaliate in our own ways "

oh yeah MB supporting rebels in Syria were backed fully by Iran
same saudi agent Blackeagle logic lol

instead of being obsessed by Iran , try to understand news
like why they did it? just try to think about it or ask an Egyptian ;) this is nothing to do with MB relation with Iran
but more about they want to avoid any channel to show anything against what happened and could be dangerous for the national security for exemple by saying "hey guys they stole your elections". which i can understand... if they want social peace , they need to stop the channels which clearly don't do anything than blaming and putting people in the streets or worst

Again -_-

Dear Dr. Hussien,

In response to your aggressive attitude toward @BLACKEAGLE and myself, I would like to inform you that the Islamic Republic of Iran was slammed twice in raw on an official level in Egypt these days, I didn't come with anything on my own, or made up anything. Please try to understand how to detect trolling from factual posts.

Aside, Next time you see me quoting @ResurgentIran please be aware that there is a time for joke and a time for serious discussions. Maybe you should develop you Arabic skills to fallow the Egyptian MSMs to realize that I'm not lying..

It seems the Iranian support to MB is being sold to garner sympathy and to break the Sunni Islamists who side with Morsi.

Egypt is in a bad shape. It needs institutions not people to run the country.

You, (KSA) as a powerful neighbour must not add fuel to the fire.

Well,

I don't think it's Iran's fault in the first place.

Morsi had epically failed to achieve a single objective of the so-called 100-day plan during his political campaign. If he could have achieved one or two objectives out of many, then he might be able to stand aginst those who opposed him. The other conservative Sunni groups, stepped down out of the way of the MB prior to the uprising. KSA only wishes to see two things, KSA only wishes to see two things, a stable Egypt, and protecting the Christians - We do care about them a lot -
