Egypt rejects Syria strikes: The ghost of Pan-Arabism resurface

We just don't give a rat about the so-called Pan-Arabism, as we tend to look to the world in a different way. Aside we harbor the holy land, if it helps ;) ...

That’s your regime yes, they don’t give a ****.
Another example is the flag of these countries that had a pan Arab era, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Egypt and a few more, pan Arab colors.

A few holy sites, the rest is unholy, besides it’s holy to a certain amount of people, your not even religious so you know what I mean + you should not claim anything about this lol, we have the building of Abraham / birthplace, should we play a religious claim on that now for the 3 biggest religions.

@Ydz Khalifa

That is a entirely different discussion. There are different forms of Arabism or pan-Arabism. I would say that our GCC model is an example of that since it is only limited to fellow Arabian countries. Although it has nothing to do with Ba'athi Arabism or socialist pan-Arabism like the one Gamal Abdel Nasser propagandized.

Yemen which has one of the oldest civilizations on earth, Egypt, Iraq, Syria (other very old civilizations) all had a Pan-Arabic outlook at some point in their history. We know that those countries past is all Semitic and that this helped but I just gave an example. You could have included Hijaz or Eastern Arabia/Greater Bahrain/Dilmun civilization if they were a separate country.

Yes and we have the City of Eve and her tomb in Jeddah and countless of other Prophets.:cheesy:

@Ydz Khalifa

Hell even members/certain "clans" of the Al-Saud family had big sympathizes for even the political largely socialist Pan-Arabist movements back in the day (which I don't agree with).

Even if we don't know it then those movements had have a lasting impact on our Arab world in some way or another. Positive as negative.

One can't just ignore that just because of being pro-monarchy.

Bro, Egypt is in a situation whereby it has to worry about itself confronting those zombies.

KSA is taking care of Syria for now, no worries.
Egyptian people and government dont want to harm Gulf countries they support us in our time of need and we will never forget that
but we dont think a military strike would do any good for syrians and the whole region we hope for a political solution which could stop the killings and destruction in syria

Don't worry about the Qataris, we always can manage with them and Turkey.
No one can touch Egypt :cheesy: Just kill all terrorists and we give you a full backup and support.
do you want the brotherhood to control syria ? if assad fall there will be no one in their way and they are supported by turkey and qatar and west

My friend,

The Syrian National Council is a secular movement, they are in charge of handling the newly born Syria. The head of the Syrian National Council happens to be a Syrian with Saudi background.

Assad's brutality is unbearable, he is a cancer to the region, don't believe everything they say against the MB, the radical groups are outnumbered 20 times more to the moderates.

As for the command of the FSA, all of them are secular and moderate.

i hope you are right i wish peace can finally come to syria

Egypt is a bit of a non-entity just now.

No offence to Egyptians, but the country is paralysed with political strife and an economy that will take at least two decades to overhaul.

Instead of being a regional power, Egypt's opinions are not even considered.

AlQauda will take over if Assad falls , bas 7'alena fel mohem , ten7ere2 syria bely feha , el mohem masr .

Well,

Historically, those who propagated for Pan-Arabism weren't actually Arabs such as Nassir.

Nasser was pure arab from banu Mur from lakhmids(اللخميون بنو لخم)muntherids(المناذرة)tanukhids(التنوخيون)

Before, Nasser is on the way of modernizing Egypt. Egypt under Nasser recorded impressive economic growth under socialism. After Nasser Egypt largely stagnate especially under Mubarak.

Up to 50% of the budget of Egypt under Nasser - direct aid of the Soviet Union. Free, in most cases.
