Duties of a Muslim towards a non-Muslim

@nForce, I have visited Lahore but not Islamabad. Lahore is a terrific place to visit especially if you want to savor the delights of the delicacies there, like the famous Lahori Kababs in Anarkali Bazar! But do ensure you pay for it as they refused to take any money from me saying that I was their honored guest from India!! Rather embarrassing!! But great and friendly guys out there. You'll feel at home!

Do take time to visit Shish Mahal (Palace of Mirrors) at the Lahore Fort, and Shalimar Gardens. And don't forget Minar-e-Pakistan especially at night.

The point to which I asked the question is :

What does it have to do greetings ?

In answer to your question, I would like to be greeted in exactly the same way as the follower of any other religion would on a happy occasion of his religion.

Okay I thought you were asking about way to greetings.

Festivals, well as far as my limited knowledge suggests Muslims must have been stopped to participate because there may be some rituals involved which may render a Muslim exiting his religion simply by becoming part of those due to his ignorance. It is not like discrimination it is more like a measure to preserve one's faith, avoid it and you will be safe. Islam keeps Tauheed as very key aspect of faith, and shirk is what every Muslim has to avoid, a slightest mistake in ignorance can be fatal for faith.

And it should not hurt anyone if I being Muslim don't want to celebrate anyone's festival? As Hindus won't like celebrating Eid Ul Azah with me and I respect their reason for that. My friend to become Muslim is easy and to remain Muslim till one dies is difficult specially during these times.

Abay dhakan nobody is going to cheat you, just go to any hotel / restaurant and get it cut in front of you, don't say a word about your faith, just get it prepared in front of you. You will see sheep / goat hanging there and normally Pakistanis prefer Mutton Karahi.

Just wondering if similar kind of teaching is taught in any other religion side by side Islam, then there will be mess in the society as both the religions will fight on the street to prove they are above..

For example..

As per the fourth point, a muslim should never initiate a greeting with kaafirs....What if there is same teaching in Christianity not to initiate a greeting with Muslims...does that synonym with an eye for an eye makes whole world blind....

Isnt Islam being flourished because other religions are tolerant or more adaptable to changing times hence accommodating other religion which teaches opens hatred etc, read it as Islam.

Whats the point in posting article like that in a forum like this? To spread hatred or negativity towards Islam? To prove that Islam is rigid and does not adapt with the time.... Dont understand the idea behind this post!!!!

Minimum half an hour for a Karahi dish to get ready, that is the time I have observed in hotels, and the dish is cooked properly.

When it comes to "Shirk" (which would mean any act that suggests worshiping anything living, non living except ALLAH) there are no relaxations, zero tolerance to it, and any festival may involve these acts, e.g. And there is difference between court established by humans and orders and words of ALLAH. And when it comes to practicing faith, Islam clearly means separation from non-believers in beliefs and religious actions, sorry there cannot be any exception to it, and I don't need sugar coating it. It is what it is.

I already said it should not hurt anybody if I don't participate in their festivals, as it would not hurt me if a Hindu cannot join me in Eid Ul Azha when I am getting a cow sacrificed, in fact if a Hindu friend of mine is not aware of it and he happens to be there I would escort him myself away from the scene so I don't hurt his religious sentiments by making him watch it in his ignorance.

Yes I have watched those myself, and I try not saying something for the sake of propaganda only . But I cannot say anything about authenticity of those videos or how those were recorded.

Minorities in Islamic world or state should have full protection. Its responsibility of state to protect them and provide them with best education and health facilities and they can do any job except being the head of state or Armed Forces but other than that if they are qualified for a job and come on merit they should be given the job. They have also full freedom to worship and maintain their places of worship and celebrate their festivals and if their faith allows than they can also sell and drink alcohol among them. Once a jew met Hazrat UMAR RA the caliph asked him why are you not pay jizya these days the jew replied that I am very old now and can't work so Hazrat UMAR RA not only forgave his Jizya and but also established monthly income from him from state. In one Hadith RASOOL SAW said if some one does injustice to Dhimi in a Muslim state for example if some one is selling apples and he sells those apples to Muslims on cheap price but when a Dhimi comes to buy he sells him expensive than on day of judgement RASOOL SAW will stand on that Dhimi behalf against that Muslim. In the end Muslims have to be very careful Dhimis in Muslim world have massive rights about which we have to answer on day of judgement.
