Also, the British did not give, they were forced to give because of a serious shortage of power post ww2. The original plan called for Arab, Israel and Palestine. Was it accepted? Creation of Israel is mistake. Greeks lost Its major cities to Turk. Doesnt mean that sóme one needs to take that back in 21st century.

Well they did live there? Who asked the Arabs to attack in 1963 ? They could have accepted and welcomed them? But they did not? Look there are arguments and counter arguments. Why does the US support Israel financially, militarily and diplomatically ? Are Israeli such poorest people on this planet who desperately need highest amount of US foreign aid ? Why US always protects Israel in the United Nations and other international arenas from being held accountable for its violations of international law and war crimes?

Can't say that I have inner information of US Govt thinking, but there are several reasons I can see.

• Leftover from the cold war. Note that major US support for Israel only started after the six-day war. Arabs choose to ally with the Soviet Union, which defined themselves as in the wrong camp for US POV.
• Significant voting power of US jews.
• Resolutions put forward by Arabs are often one-sided.
• Arabs are also not held accountable for War Crimes.
• Arabs regularily making unfriendly statements vs the US. Which Arab state declare themselves to be loyal friends of the US?
• Arab terrorists attacking the US.
• In the end the US believes some issues must be solved by mutual agreement.

The US stopped the 1956 war and made Britain/France/Israel retreat.
They also stopped the 73 October War.

Have no figures at hand, but my guess is that Vietnam used up much more resource than Israel.

How was it created? It was part of the Ottoman empire. The empire lost. The British in WW2 had had enough so they left. So lets not go down that road.

Israel has never been a member of the Security Council so it has never ever been in a position
to propose a resolution to the SC.

My perception is that Arab states so far are happy to propose resolutions which they know in advance will be vetoed or voted down. Then they blame the US, and congratulate themselves on a job well done.
It is not very productive.
