jokes apart! Annual budget of India is : 325 billion USD OUT OF WHICH 1.1 billion USD is allocated to ISRO. Now it depends on ISRO to plan its annual activities which may include satellite launch or Mars Mission or any other project. Poverty reduction or toilet making is not a job of ISRO nor there is any lack of funds for that. only if all other dept start working as efficiently and effectively as ISRO these issues will be resolved.

maybe they should reduce the budget for isro and increase the budget poverty reducing programs??? just a thought but what do i know….

its only 0.31 % .. what reduction u want. why not out of remaining 99.7 % budget ! frankly speaking under MPLAD each MP (member of parliament ) gets 1.6 million USD annually. there are 795 MPs and they combined together gets close to 8 billion USD a year for development works in their own constituencies. This amount alone ( 8 times then budget of ISRO) is sufficient to provide all basic needs to the people of India. But due to massive corruption and nepotism this huge amount u all know goes where !! so why blame ISRO for the inefficiency of other organs of govt. they at least are doing the roles and duties assigned to them.

its not salary. its a fund allocated by Central govt to MPs to fulfill the basic requirements of people like : water, toilets, Small Scale industries, community roads etc.
