What's new

Did India gave it up too easily??

Every part of the world has an inferiority complex towards the West. This is probably because the West has been dominant economically and otherwise for several hundred years so it's understandable.

Chinese members here should not front and act like only India is a victim of this. I read an article a while back about Chinese companies hiring white people to be "fake" managers or executives. If that's not inferiority complex, I don't know what is. But no need to belabor the point.

The fact that there's tension and why 1962 keeps getting brought up is because there are still border disputes and other issues. Conflicts with Pakistan and China are still fresh in the Indian mind because it is still going on to this day. The relationship has to be a peaceful one with no disputes. Only then can animosity or hatred from both sides subside.

Partially true.

But is is INDIA, who is declaring a fellow developing nation (China) as their "number one enemy". While China has done no such thing.

And really, how can an Italian waitress become the number 1 most powerful person in India? Are we expected to believe that this was just a mere coincidence?

What percentage of Indian citizens are white Europeans that were born in Europe? The chances of it being a pure coincidence are nearly zero.

Fellow developing nation- yes
Border disputes-yes

Why are you asking the same question over and over again?

"What percentage of Indian citizens are white Europeans that were born in Europe? The chances of it being a pure coincidence are nearly zero."

the thought that 'may be race didn't matter but only as a widow of a PM earned sympathy' didn't occur to. :hitwall:

You have to understand the historical humiliation and violence the Hindus have suffered from for over a thousand years. Many civilizations have conquered them, the Muslims empires, Arabs, Turkic, Timur, Afghans, and the British. After centuries and in fact a millennium of defeat and humiliation and slavery is going to depress the population and ruin their self-esteem.

The British were slightly different from the conquerors in the sense they did a better job dividing the Hindustanis and brainwashing them and setting up a system in Hind one they developed. It is understandable why many have this inferiority complex, the Indian has been a defeated race for the greater part of a millennium. This is not to say they haven't made small achievements here and there.

I never knew that as an Indian, my mind's supposed to be so stressed by the 'historic humiliation'.

We shouldn't get angry at the Hindustanis for their self-appraisal of their recent economic growth, they have been depressed and frustrated for hundreds of years let them enjoy a little. It is understandable human nature.

Pakistan does have its own culture. As the one member said you can keep you pagan religion nobody wants it. Also you didn't keep your culture as much as you think you did your culture these days is very westernized especially considering British influence.

True. One of the very small achievements(& it is small) is to mess up the heads of a neighbouring country so bad that they have to constantly imagine a superiority complex to somehow insulate them from the reality of their condition. "Small" achievement true but one that makes us smile a lot.

1971 was a victory for Hindustan and traitorous Bengalis this victory for Hindustan came after a thousand years of defeat. You should celebrate this victory every weekend of your life in spite of how easy it was to achieve it considering 800 miles of territorial separation and a civil war in progress.

Generalization alert!
After 10 posts and some what stupid debate here at PDF. I now understand why some people say things like:

Chinese guys are some of most incoherent speakers i spoke to.(this is probably the reason for other stereotype -They also suck big time with girls.)

multiple id troll alert
