Dhaka attackers followed controversial Indian Islamic preacher Zakir Nayek

Who's this guy? Just googled him. Seeing him run his mouth reminds me of a cartoon character I knew as a kid.:D

I was just stating that if he is dangerous, he should be shut down but the response I get is the regular jazz of "sickulars", award waapsi etc.

That is the reality of it.

The bigger question is, why are you lot supporting this guy?
He is radicalizing a whole generation of young kids, even highly educated ones.

Once you loose a generation, you have already lost it. there is no going back from that.

If I am not wrong a "Hindu nationalist" government is in power in Maharashtra and also in Centre, so what is stopping them from banning him/his organisation. Appeasement???

Because they do not want to even miss the small pie of Hindu who feels that it is wrong to prosecute any one based on religion...And that includes me too...There should not be any ban on any one..including any one of any religion if it does not even confront the rule of the land...If Gov has proof then take action against it....But again, these are my thought only...BJP Govt do not want to take action, because they do not want to add any further erosion to their image in front of Indian Muslims...

There is such a thing called being too clever by half.

What the Indian member said is accurate: there is a great deal of sensitivity to Muslim feeling and sentiment. Don't go by what the dregs of society - parliamentarians included - have had to say, and by what the criminally lunatic have had to do. The vast bulk of Indian society is touchy about Muslim feeling.

That is the only reason why this fool remains scotfree.

In my opinion, he should be prosecuted for stupidity. Unfortunately, our laws are inadequate; the stupid get away, whether they are Hindu, or Muslim, or Christian, or Sikh or any other brand.

The funniest 'dissing' of him I've come across (besides dozens of YouTube videos, where a number of Muslims have pointedly objected to his way of putting things across) is a video of a talk by Tarek Fatah - absolutely hilarious. He introduces ZN as the man wearing 'burre bhai ka kurta aur chhote bhai ka pajama', and then gets downright personal. I leave you to find that video and sneak a look at it.

Arnab has a rare moment in Indian media history. He has the ears of a huge audience now....he must not let the chance slip to expose the glaring truths that have so far been shrouded in deceit and politics by scamgress.

I would rather watch Arnab than be anywhere near NDtv, The Hindu or the kranthikari varieties.

. .
The empty chair for congress sealed the deal for me :D

Even AAP boycotts Arnab selectively.
I don't know why BJP does not reciprocate and boycott NDTv & Co, just to balance it out.

Coming back to Naik, it's shame that he is allowed to ply his trade. Naik is not alone, there are hundreds of evangelists who go to temples, insult gods inside temple premises and ask Hindus to convert.

These "intellectuals" do much more harm than the single guy blowing themselves. They breed thousands of such people who are ready to blow themselves and kill others.

Zakir Nayek is a very good scholar with in depth knowledge of religions not just Islam.

You can follow anyone. Been taught in any school, could come from any ethnic or social background. You could still become indoctrinated. This is just a media hype and media's compulsion to find scapegoats and excuses.

.
Mufti Menk(one of the best scholars out there)is also considered "extremist". In other words only if you say nothing you are considered "moderate"

Wheres the fun in that? BJP has nothing to hide and be afraid about like the other two. :P

The boycotting shows to everyone who is duplicitous and conniving ....and who is confident in facing the heat on any matter.

DHAKA: Two of the five Bangladeshi militants who hacked to death 20 people at a restaurant in Dhaka's diplomatic zone used to follow three controversial Islamists, including Indian Islamic preacher Zakir Nayek.

Militant Rohan Imtiaz, son of an Awami League leader, propagated on Facebook last year quoting Peace TV's controversial preacher Nayek "urging all Muslims to be terrorists", the Daily Star reported.

I'm not surprised. Anti national Congress funded this guy, (muslim appeasement), provided licenses to his islam channels.
