CJCSC calls on air chief, apprised of PAF modernisation programmes

I agree 48 is a fine number for J10 C to be inducted the rest of the shortages can be made up by acquiring used F16's in good numbers followed up by the block 3

. .
Its foolish to compare jf-17 with Su-30 backbone of Indian airforce , the truth is our most of f-16 are useless only few block 52 which can be on par with su-30 , now they are adding rafales, i dont know how we can counter them and with what ?

.
I suggest PAF straightly go for J10c, cause it has internal mechanism to absorb radar wave.

@MarvellousThunder@PDC why you guys claim that Nawaz is pushing Su35 down to PAF's throat and it's his sugar milk?
Not saying NS is pushing anything but this much I'm sure that if we & im saying if su35 that road will come through Chinese as they have to take some guarantees for supply and other paraphernalia
Thx

I never asked deltas for maritime role. Thunders are well designed to take on mirages existing PAF roles easily and efficiently. What i was saying is that your quote " Having block 3 wont give us a need of J-10 of SIMILAR capabilities which is wrong. J10C is in a league of its own. It is very different from block 3. Has superior Radar , avionics to some extent , and yes engine off course and automatically payload. So comparing Block 3 to J10c in every aspect is wrong. J10c is a pure medium weight fighter , has 11 Hp - dual racks whereas Thunder can have 10-11 in the presence of dual racks
I think the difference will be slightly not major that why PAF not inducted it and the biggest weakness of Chinese jets are they don't have decent ECM/ESM, J-10B is provide nothing new to PAF capabilitieso_O:what:,

J-10B will add AESA to our fleet which non of F16 has. Imagine a j10 as f16 with aesa radar..but less payload than f16

. . . . . .
sorry to say but invest all their is to 5th gen build AESA radar R&D and Factory also build radar for ground base sam like s-400 buying j-10b will be waste of money because it can be detected easily
jf-17 block 3 can fill the place of j10-b with AESA radar
invest every thing to radars and avionics and R&D of ram coating + sam is needed indeed

W/O fab-tech backbone we are at mercy of developer/manufacturer. Be it china. Bottom line. Our problems have intensified with rafales & israeli support to IAF and solutions are scanty.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Zubair Mahmood Hayat on Wednesday called on Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman at the Air Headquarters, Islamabad.

On his arrival, General Zubair Mahmood Hayat was received by Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman. He was given a detailed briefing on the organisation, role and functioning of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

Later on, the CJCSC called on the air chief in his office, wherein the two top military officials discussed matters of professional interest.

Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman apprised the CJCSC about various ongoing modernisation/upgradation programmes of the PAF.

The CJCSC expressed his confidence in operational preparedness of the PAF.

The air chief, on the occasion, presented him a new book on the PAF titled “PAF Attaining New Heights.”

miss messiach , i need some guide from you please , it would be very kind of you. Like you mentioned in the Air cooling AESA from 607 institute thread that the cooling system is not that much efficient and that some heat from radar could be conducted to the airframe body which will have some serious effects. On the other hand , liquid cooling systems are very efficient but the cooling system needs some space which will be unsuitable for Block 1 and 2. So do you think that this specific radar being developed will also have same conduction issues?

Read the post again,......'Conduction cooled to frame has offsets, air-cooled to exterior is better alternative but not w/o problems. Higher end RF electronics will still need liquid PAO coolant.' Conduction cooling is different from air-cooling altogether. Air cooling is better, avoids conduction. Air-cooled radars are not totally air-cooled. High output conductors still would need liquid conduction which does take space but a lot lesser than older ones. Should be okay for FC1.
