Chuck Yeager tweets about PAF of 1971

Factually incorrect. But the hurting we put on Indian air forces A$$es can be read internationally on every neutral source. :(

@indiatester now go back and ask your buddy if he needs more air, since he's leaking with a puncture.

Well there is one thing our top-guns achieved and what your shaheens could not achieve. Its called an "objective"
It looks like this

In a word - yes.

Top class lie. PAF rarely ventured out after 7 December. Before that they flew over India showing bravado. And got shot down. Anyway, believe what you want. Do that again. Good for us.
*facepalm.
Someone told u that and u believed it.

Tho this video isnt abt aerial warfare but some stupid indians were taking to entire 71 war,. take that.
From 1: 28 something onwards

I have never questioned Pak Army's bravery. Manekshaw speaks about the Pak Army, not the PAF. The soldiers on the ground fought to the last. The air force did not.

The airforce as well as long as they could.

And manekshaw video WAS NEVER FOR U BUT FOR OTHER TROLLS. Okay.

And in 71 war our air force performance was always said to be one of the bestest. I dnt know what stuff uhad been reading,

but iwont be shocked at ur response, cuz in 65 alone in east wing 21 iaf jets were shot down but later iaf had accepted losses of only around 12.
Lies are nothing new.

Even then the sorties that PAF did post 9 December were very few and they literally handed over supremacy in the air to the IAF. Longewala debacle could have been averted. Only 4 Hunters eliminated a whole Pak tank brigade. It was the PAF's failure to provide basic minimum TA or air cover. There are other example on the Lahore front too. And in East Pakistan, the lone squadron never took off the ground. Only time they did was on 15 December when they flew to Myanmar then to SL and finally to West Pakistan. :tsk: Good for us though.

I'm totally comfortable with losing an air battle as long as I win the war!

Think of this like boxing...
Pakistan got more shots on point, but India delivered the knock out punch!!

I think I can live with that..what say Indians?!

Sadly I don't think they make a burnol equivalent for a knockout...

They do ... it called a stretcher.:enjoy:

Nobody is lying about anything. It is a known fact that IAF lost for than the PAF in the 65 war. But we still had a tenuous air advantage in numbers and cover. And in 71, after the initial attacks, PAF simply withdrew to curtail losses - a very defeatist approach. There was personal rivalry between Yahya and the Air Marshall as well...

Mostly outdated aircraft were positioned in the East. When a squadron flies in formation it can take on a much larger formation. And the IAF attacked only in piecemeal in the East - 4 planes at a time in many cases. The Squadron could have done wonders in many cases. Even Pak infantry was heavily outnumbered in the East, yet they fought or at least tried to.

The other question that must be answered is why is it ok to say that they were outnumbered. Is it not the responsibility of the armed forces to ensure that they defend every inch of their mother land?
The whole premise of defense of the east lies in the west was flawed.
The preparation of Pakistani armed forces higher ranks was abysmal and planning not thorough.

The gloating about a few battles when they have lost an entire war and that too by losing half of the country is very strange. This strange behaviour ensures that Pakistanis will keep their leaders who are high on rhetoric and discard those who are more able.

That suits us fine.
