As for Chinese support we are an independent country with or without China but we do need friends and allies...hence support...but unlike within China (as you must notice since you are in the West)....The world outside does ask questions it is the norm...we won't stop asking questions coz China supports us...It doesn't work that way...
In China's support they get our support as well...we opened channels to the West and Middle East for China...so it is a two way partnership...

Err no. China claim and control the only feature in the Spartly that can be classified as an island which is Taiping Island. And according to UNCLOS eligible to claim 200km EEZ. Almost 90% of all the Spartly features falls within this EEZ. All of China's reclaim islands also fall within this EEZ. All logical and within UNCLOS.

But you lost at Court of Arbitration, and they ruled in favor of Philippines. Chinese claim is hilarious, a Ming Dynasty ruler ruled over China sea, in other words, the ancestors went fishing there.
By that logic, India could claim Indonesia just because an Indian empire ruled over them for a short period.
