China's new launch rocket

. .
The CZ-5-504 will be the world's most powerful launch vehicle

. .
China is part of the UN security council and a declared accepted nuclear power, India on the other hand during the cold war was very much in the Soviet camp and had sanctions placed after the 1st atomic blast we conducted back in the 1970's

Hey, China has also sanctioned.
We was sanctioned by both the USA and USSR, we are more bad luck than India...

Actually we are very still far behind the USA

The CZ-5 is not even close to be the most powerful.

The Saturn V rocet build by Von Braun in 1960's is FAR more powerful, and it is still the biggest and most powerful rocket up to date with an INSANE 120 ton LEO payload!!!!!!. The Russians tried to answer it with N-1 but FAILED SO BAD!!!

USA Saturn V. Engineering masterpeace!!!

Russian N-1. Failed so bad

Right now China is building a rocket with 60 ton LEO payload. Maybe in 2015 China will be able to build a Rocket that can truly match the Saturn V. Only after we Chinese obtaining such advanced and powerful rocket can then China have a chance of sending man to the moon. The russians FAILED, their N-1failed 4 times in 4 try and cost the Russians huge amount of money. This is why even up to date. Russia does not have the ability to send a man to the moon.

If by 2015 China has its own Saturn V like Rocket, then it is safe to say that China has caught up with Russia in SPACE TECH!!! Still need to chase USA for another 10 years before passing them!

We both had sanctions but i think because China was part of P5 and accepted N power it was easier for you guys to get dual-use technology

Exactly what civilian technologies can be applied to Giant rockets? Who is selling us this stuff.

Now US is even developing Ares V with 188 tons of payload LEO.

The universe should not be alone. I think we should cooperate with other countries.

Dual use technology can be applied to number of diffrent fields but the reason why India lags behind is due to the past events

the early stages of designing the GSLV booster for communications satellites, India struck a deal with Russia to provide hydrogen-fueled rocket engines and technical know-how.

The agreement was quashed in 1992 after U.S. authorities imposed sanctions on Glavkosmos, the Russian company providing technology to India. The United States feared the transfer of missile technology from the fractured Soviet Union to developing states.

India responded by purchasing seven readymade cryogenic engines from Russia and starting the design of an indigenous upper stage from scratch.

This is the difficulity we are having but it is just a matter of time b4 we perfect it like China.
