China's Ford class supercarrier

To each one his own. If you are referring to Indians plans to acquire 40-50,000T carriers, then its as per Indias requirements. I don't know Chinas requirement for '100,000 tons babies'.
We may be a 2nd class force. But thats good enough when facing 3rd class opponents.

You made a good reply.

However, you have to understand that China is facing TOP DOG of the world. The United States Navy. The Chinese are not facing third class opponents, this is why a 40,000 ton class is USELESS for CHINA!

Now the nuclear reactor is the biggest weakness for China, not the electromagnetic/steam catapult nor the AESA.

I think there is chance that China's first nuclear carrier being up to 100,000 tons, but only the nuclear reactor will be inferior to the Ford class carrier, but comparable to the A4W of the Nimitz class.

So maybe it is a mixture between Nimitz and Ford.

No your not once your wages get to high the worlds companies will leave china and go to poorer companies
I see you've been unbanned. Good, I need the cheap laugh.

Now, clearly you've never taken a single course in economics in your life. Chinese workers are definitely not the cheapest in Asia. Labour cost is not the only consideration in foreign investments in manufacturing, but only part of it. There is the consideration for basic infrastructure, worker education, political stability and even cultural work ethics. In simple terms, China will only strengthen its position as a manufacturing giant in the near future. Vietname, Philippines and Burma even with their dirt cheap labour simply cannot compete.

Since I've took 2 minutes out of my life to give your moronic a brief economic growth summary, perhaps you should consider clicking that thanks button.

Quixotic , is all I have to say. China will be going against the most pragmatic and dynamic economies in the word. Most companies that operate in china are U.S. or contract out to companies I.E. foxxcon ( taiwanese not Chinese )
Your economy is built upon government consumption in the form of commoditys. You use this to prime pump the housing sector and build strutures there is no demand for only speculation by the very rich. Your contra relys on manufacturing threw currency manipulation the yuan is undervalued by 30% making Chineese products cheaper.
China is not just a bubble it's the hindenberge! you lack the resorces to feed your own people and natural resources to build anything.
Once robotic manufacturing is optomised the world will have little use for china. Were sick of feeding you all.
Have a nice day.

i disagree.

i think you argued the same thing in some other thread. i think aircraft carriers are going the way of the destroyer. they're too slow and visible. i predict the future is in subs, ballistic missiles, and atmospheric bombers. cyber-warfare will also play a big role.
You have not said anything that would be considered 'insightful' even in the least. Everything goes out of 'style'. Everything eventually become obsolete. But some things return when the environment are conducive to their original utility. Think am joking? Take a look at the dirigibles. Everyone thought they would be useless after the Hindenburg disaster, but now even the war environment have uses for the airship.

As long as the current environment are conducive to surface ships, there will be a race and a 'technology treadmill' in that race to achieve and sustain an advantage and for now, the US Navy rules and set the standards for others to follow IF they wish to enter the race. China is entering the race. Odds are better than average that it will be US, not China, who will come up with a weapon that will reduce surface combatant ships' wartime effectiveness, if not render them ineffective altogether.

Next...You got suckered into believing that American aircraft carriers are sitting in ports waiting for orders to sail. A gross misconception. The US Navy is not the world's best operator of naval aviation simply for having more aircraft carriers than others. At any time during the year, there are several aircraft carrier groups in deployments. What they do out there the likes of you will never know. If the US is going to war, the US Navy will be ready for it months in advance. The enemy's ports will already be mapped and targeted. US subs will have his ships' ID-ed. And so on...

Finally...You think it is easy to find an aircraft carrier because it is large and relatively 'slow moving'? Try locating an oil tanker when its radio and nav beacons are off. Talk to an insurance company and get a real eye opener on how difficult it actually is to keep track of a crude tanker without its cooperation.

lol umad? cause it sure sounds like it

whatever... i don't care what you say about me

technology is not a treadmill, it's a tree.

and what do the other navies around the world do? sit on their a$$es jacking off?

pretty sure there are satellites visually tracking USN ACs at all times.

Yes, technology is very much a treadmill. If you want to compete, you get on the treadmill and train.

and what do the other navies around the world do? sit on their a$$es jacking off?
Some...But for the most part, countries that have sea lanes access simply do not have the resources to field a 'blue water' navy, let alone a single aircraft carrier. China is behind India in naval aviation. Until the PLAN achieve parity with the Indian Navy, which we can safely assume to take at least a decade of constant progress, the US Navy remain out of reach for China.

Sure...You go on believing that...

Whose? I'm sure the US is tracking its carriers (not by satellite) but I don't think there is any other country that has global satellite coverage to even attempt to try to track all US carriers.

I don't think China even has regional coverage yet, but not sure.

As for visually tracking them all by satellite...good luck!

Name 10 companies in China that manufactures for the US and is completely owned by the US. Just 10. Can't find it?

How can you "pull out" when you don't own it? here's a 1 minute lesson on economics for you:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_received_FDI

Total value of FDI in China: 327,087 million USD = 327 billion USD.

Or: 5.45% of our economy. Go ahead pull out lol? Bring it on?

Total value of FDI in the US: 1,347,688 USD = 1.3 trillion USD

Or: 8.18% of your economy. What if foreign investors pull out of the US lol? What happens then?

I might become a foreign investor in the US speculating on your real estate, kicking Americans out of their homes and leaving them on the streets soon. Maybe I'll get to kick you out of your pathetic house and rent it out to blacks and mexicans.

The current state of United States economy is neither dynamic or pragmatic. It is plagued with massive debt, government overspending, trade deficits and job loss. Profit has no national boundaries, and if United States is not a competitive environment, the "American" companies will pack their bags and move their operations somewhere else. On the contrary to your claims that China is one massive real estate bubble, you've completely overlook the fact that China is going through a trend of urbanization. As of now, about 800 million people reside in the countryside compared to 500 million in urban areas. By the end of this decade, the figures will be reversed, driving a massive demands for housing.

Your Federal Reserve is pumping hundreds of millions each day into the economy via prinited money/credit. That is driving down the value of the US dollar and directly shaving off the value of foreign debt. When you accuse China of currency manipulation, it's really the pot calling the kettle black.

Oh China is capable of growing vast majority of its own food to feed the population. Very little is imported from abroad. You can rest easy while collecting your trailer trash food stamps since nobody will try to take it from you. As far as natural resources go, China also has plenty but it is also diversifying its sources to secure basis for future growth. Don't be mad simple because we have the foresight to do so.

Hope you sound less of a retard after you finish Grade 10.

technology is pretty much a treadmill with a bunch of razor sharp blades all around if you choose to jump off...

other navies have other duties..and different doctrines.
I don't think the italian navy needs ACs the size of Ford or nimitz class

US had carriers, USSR had carrier group killer missile armed heavy cruisers, cruisers and destroyers, it's a choice...

I did mention a while back that finding a carrier in a pelagic environment, i.e. a closed sea like the Med is relatively easy ..

finding a carrier in an ocean ..... well... that takes a lot more than satelites .. ..

In the form of buying you cheap Chineese trashit represents abot 17% that's a big chunk of your economy.

My "houses" that's plural as in 4 are all paid off and rented out now go make my new nikes.
Don't be mad just because your "all companiz in china r amerian and taiwanese" argument got shattered to bits. Let me remind you that owning a couple of barbie houses does not count as real houses. The only thing you can rent out is pure stupidity and that I doubt there are many customers waiting around to buy.

Now go read some basic Grade 8 English grammar book.
