Here are some differences between China/Egypt and China/Vietnam.

Egypt has no statistics on Chinese marriages to Egypt. The GDP/capita of Egypt is 1/2 that of China's. Chinese girls rarely even marry with also-Muslim, but not extremist, Uighurs and Kazakhs which have incomes double that of Egyptians. Why would they then marry Egyptians? For all we know, its fake news. Why would Chinese girls marry oppressive, short and poor Egyptians when there are 500 million liberal, richer Hans?

If you read the article, it says that Egyptian men are ASKING, that is, WANTING Chinese women, but the embassy is REFUSING anything. They can WANT all they want, but whether Chinese women want to marry into an oppressive 3rd world dictatorship is another story.
