China & Vietnam agree to resolve maritime dispute through negotiations

1.As I said: Your Government really respects our Army's power, but they just try to hide our power to CHinese and make you guys underestimate us.

There is No way for CHina to win Vn in Battle. We can enrich uranium, we signed the contract with Russia to manufature super anitship missile "Yakhont", we can borrow Laos-Cambodia's land to keep fighting with enemy, our soldier is one of the Best in the world :)

2.When India boost the relationship with VN ties, if they want to sharp up the Military, we can give some advice also :)

Yeah right, nobody on the planet can take on our "superpower vietnam" happy now Nice Guy? time to get ready for a new identity boy.

vietnam should think about its people and stop being a warmonger like its neighbor india vietnam should embrace china as it and try to be a good friend to china south china sea belong to china and your country governmnt accepts so sould you and start a peaceful drive towards prosperity and socail justice.china is prosperous because it got social justice.learn something from the example of china istead of being jealous from them.they are good friends but if enemy then they make a country like india go to UNO

I don't mean to be harsh but even Taiwan could crush Vietnam right now.
I totally agree with that, Taiwan could crush Vietnam right now.
And:
French was far from from able to crush Vietnam 60 years ago.
USA was far from from able to crush Vietnam 50 years ago.
China was far from from able to crush Vietnam 30 years ago.

So where are they bro? You appear to lack of historical knowledge?
Do you know how many times Chinese empire have attempted to "crushed" Vietnam in more than 2000 years of history: no less than 10. ALL FAILED.
Even when your "Heavenly empire" was under Mongolian "crushing", we did "crush" them 3 times.

Pls tell me are you CHinese ???East sea belong to VN, we've claim them since 1836 and sent troop to protect, we have lots of anvidence to prove it, so we won't let Any one take it away, and we drill oil every day in East sea now.

I don't think Pakistanis care much about China-Vn's tension, coz we small and hamless to Pakistan :)

No way win against Vietnam in battle? Didn't you get half your fleet sunk last time?
Fleet is for attacking purpose, we don't need to attack any one, so we manufacture Yakhont to destroy any ship violating our EEZ :)

btw: those islands so tiny, we can blow away any time we want.

You need a fleet if you expect to defend as the yakhont has this problem of not being able to reach the spratley from land.

You managed to survive. A look at the casualties between Vietnam against their invaders was always staggeringly in favor of the invaders.

And you were ruled for thousands of years with brief interludes of sovereignty

Dynastic era
The legendary Hồng Bàng Dynasty of the Hùng kings is considered by many Vietnamese as the first Vietnamese state, known as Văn Lang. In 257 BCE, the last Hùng king lost to Thục Phán, who consolidated the Lạc Việt tribes with his Âu Việt tribes, forming Âu Lạc and proclaiming himself An Dương Vương. In 207 BCE, a Chinese general named Zhao Tuo defeated An Dương Vương and consolidated Âu Lạc into Nanyue. In 111 BCE, the Chinese Han Dynasty consolidated Nanyue into their empire.

For the next thousand years, Vietnam was mostly under Chinese rule.[21] Early independence movements such as those of the Trưng Sisters and of Lady Triệu were only briefly successful. It was independent as Vạn Xuân under the Anterior Lý Dynasty between 544 and 602. By the early 10th century, Vietnam had gained autonomy, but not independence, under the Khúc family.

The Imperial City in Huế
In 938 CE, a Vietnamese lord named Ngô Quyền defeated Chinese forces at the Bạch Đằng River and regained independence after a millennium under Chinese control.[22] Renamed as Đại Việt (Great Viet), the nation went through a golden era during the Lý and Trần Dynasties. During the rule of the Trần Dynasty, Đại Việt repelled three Mongol invasions.[23] Buddhism flourished and became the state religion.

Following the brief Hồ Dynasty, Vietnamese independence was momentarily interrupted by the Chinese Ming Dynasty, but was restored by Lê Lợi, the founder of the Lê Dynasty. Vietnam reached its zenith in the Lê Dynasty of the 15th century, especially during the reign of Emperor Lê Thánh Tông (1460–1497). Between the 11th and 18th centuries, Vietnam expanded southward in a process known as nam tiến (southward expansion),[24] and it eventually conquered the kingdom of Champa and part of the Khmer Empire.[25][26]

From the 16th century onwards, civil strife and frequent infighting engulfed much of Vietnam. First, the Chinese-supported Mạc Dynasty challenged the Lê Dynasty's power. After the Mạc Dynasty was defeated, the Lê Dynasty was reinstalled, but with no actual power. Power was divided between the Trịnh Lords in the North and the Nguyễn Lords in the South, who engaged in a civil war for more than four decades before a truce was called in the 1670s. During this time, the Nguyễn expanded southern Vietnam into the Mekong Delta, annexing the Central Highlands and the Khmer land in the Mekong Delta.

The division of the country ended a century later when the Tây Sơn brothers defeated both and established their new dynasty. However, their rule did not last long and they were defeated by the remnants of the Nguyễn Lords led by Nguyễn Ánh with the help of the French.[citation needed] Nguyễn Ánh unified Vietnam, and established the Nguyễn Dynasty, ruling under the name Gia Long.

French colonisation

Vietnam's independence was gradually eroded by France—aided by large Catholic collaborator militias—in a series of military conquests from 1859 until 1885 when the entire country became part of French Indochina. The French administration imposed significant political and cultural changes on Vietnamese society. A Western-style system of modern education was developed, and Roman Catholicism was propagated widely in Vietnamese society. Most of the French settlers in Indochina were concentrated in Cochinchina (southern third of Vietnam whose principal city was Saigon).[27]

Developing a plantation economy to promote the exports of tobacco, indigo, tea and coffee, the French largely ignored increasing calls for self-government and civil rights. A nationalist political movement soon emerged, with leaders such as Phan Boi Chau, Phan Chu Trinh, Phan Dinh Phung, Emperor Hàm Nghi and Ho Chi Minh fighting or calling for independence. However, the royalist Can Vuong was defeated in the 1890s after a decade of resistance, and the 1930 Yen Bai mutiny of the Viet Nam Quoc Dan Dang was put down easily. The French maintained control of their colonies until World War II, when the Japanese war in the Pacific triggered the invasion of French Indochina in 1941.

With the defeat of France in Europe, the French Third Republic transformed into the Vichy Regime, to which the colony remained loyal. Heavily dependent on Nazi Germany, Vichy France was forced to surrender control of French Indochina to Japan. The natural resources of Vietnam were exploited for the purposes of the Japanese Empire's military campaigns into the British Indochinese colonies of Burma, the Malay Peninsula and India.

but if you are harmful to china then you are harmful to pakistan and south china sea is a part of china so dont try to sneak in to china otherwise you will find no vietnam.i am a pakistani but you wont notice any difference between china and pakistan

Its good to have the differences resolved by diplomatics ways, but i wud suggest to vietnam to not surrender to china and give on inch under the pressure.
Vietnam will be good if they stand tall and independent, rather being a lap dog of china.

Look what they have done there 2 allies pakistan and NK, i hope VN dont want to be in that league.

1.Those islands belong to China and your soldiers were killed for trespassing.

2. You would brag about it if you had any capability but you don't.

VN's Su-30MK2 can use for Land-air attack , or even Mig 21 can do the job well, they can destroy US's destroyer :)

Missile software and hardware changes have to be done to change them to be air launched. Something Russians only know how to do for the yakhont and not something you can just tinker with.
