China thwarted action against JuD: Clinton

UN is mostly western dominated. They can let go off defining tibetean separatists as terrorists whereas they can pressure China and/or Russia into doing certain things. Sanctions on Iran were an instance of such. You clearly seem to be thinking that UN is some prestigious organization, which is clearly not true..

I am not defending Tibetan government but NO neutral source can confirm Tibetian government's involvment in terrorist activities. But you and I know India does not have enough power to pass a resolution in UN to ban a organization. UN might not be perfect and it does have it flaws but it is the only neutral organization where resolution can be passed by security council and other countries have to consent with it.

.
You can keep going on about kicking China out of the UNSC, and calling us "terrorist supporters"... but here is the reality.

We are a veto member and the main engine of world economic growth, we trade with everyone and lend money to everyone. We're going nowhere.

It's India who wants to get a permanent seat on the UNSC. Bear in mind that China can veto the entire resolution anytime it wants.

I don't know why you guys want to make enemies out of your two biggest neighbours (China & Pakistan) who account for 80% of your land border... and put yourself at risk for a two-front war. It just doesn't make sense, why surround yourself with enemies?

you must have read that old story of a man & a crocodile.........

the crocodile offer the man a ride on his back to corss the river.......

I didn't say they were terrorists, the Tibetan government in exile are "separatists". Separatism is a big problem for China, terrorism is not (at least not now).

They tried and failed to overthrow the Chinese government in a violent uprising, after which they escaped and were welcomed with open arms by India.

Even today they continue to send out anti-China slogans, while the government in Delhi sits idly by and asks China to respect their concerns about terrorism.

Still looking for an answer to this question above... since all Luckky has managed to do is somehow infer that Chinese people are crocodiles and they can't be trusted.

.
well jud is banned now with china voting for the ban (even after pakistan's objections)..What is the problem now?

.
I thought you were done debating with me on this issue?
Anyway...........
I didn't say they were terrorists, the Tibetan government in exile are "separatists". Separatism is a big problem for China, terrorism is not (at least not now).

But we are not talking about Tibet here, this topic is about Jud and how China helped an terrorist organization. China had its reasons, only Chinese government know that but this move would of not helped India and China relationships.

They tried and failed to overthrow the Chinese government in a violent uprising, after which they escaped and were welcomed with open arms by India.

Note this point Tibetians are from Tibet and and they are sepratists unitl proven terrorits by neutral point or atleast I will believe them as just sepratist until you or someone can prove it by neutral and credibal sources. But Jud is an forgein based organization, not from India or in excile, proven Terrorist outfit by neutral state and organization. Please see my point Dragon.

Even today they continue to send out anti-China slogans, while the government in Delhi sits idly by and asks China to respect their concerns about terrorism.

Again, if Jud was just an sepratist organization I would of agree with to some extent.

.
Ah more wit and rolling eyes.

Instead of the wit, why don't you try to provide me with something solid. And since you've been so plain with me, I'll be plain with you too.

Considering the fact that India hosted the Tibetan government in exile immediately after they failed to overthrow Chinese rule during the Tibetan uprising, and considering the fact that India continues to host the Tibetan government in exile even to this day... doesn't make me care particularly much about whether this organization is named one thing or the other.

You're asking us to worry about some random charity (JuD)... when you're hosting the biggest Chinese separatist group on your soil.

Fitting Reply Bro.

Again, if Jud was raising sepratist organization I would of agree with to some extent.

As I said, my point is that if you don't respect our concerns, then how can you expect us to respect your concerns.

Nobody in China has even heard of JuD, but they've all heard of the Tibetan government in exile. More to the point, nobody here really cares about JuD. If Pakistan asks us to put a hold on some issue regarding JuD then that is much more palatable then doing a favour to the country who is hosting the Tibetan government in exile.

Like I summed up in the first page of this thread:

Like I summed up in the first page of this thread:

dalai lama and his followers are peace lovers "massangers of god".... they never ask for separate state , they just like to keep thier language , tradition alive which chinese govt trying to supress...
and they still consider tibet as chinese land , could be that's the reason china gaining so much economically due to blessing by these holy men to chinese people.....
i won't for a second think twice to accept all lamas as india citizen if they decide to permanently abbandon tibat to sattle in india....

That's your perception, not ours.

It's a historical fact that they tried and failed to overthrow Chinese rule, which is why they are in "exile".

1959 Tibetan uprising - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's also a historical fact that immediately after they failed to overthrow Chinese rule, these "separatists" were welcomed by India with open arms.
