China already bypass US in economic strength and the US is in a recession now, so it will only be a matter of time before China catch up in GDP.

I heard US going into recession and may shrink by 10%. If continue for few years. Even a small Chinese economy growth can easily overtake US economy in just few years time!

If we become number 2 we will acknowledge it!
The news media will go nuts over it, every publication will talk about it(as they do) and economists will work to provide solutions, advocacy will start and so on.

In China they cannot even ACKNOWLEDGE they have a problem without repercussions. They can never state they didn’t meet targets or have disparate figures- its a death sentence.

So regardless of whether they overtake the US or not, the freedom to express disagreement or concern is something they not only don’t have freely they wont know what it is if it hit them.

China leads by a wide margin as market for cars, semiconductors, refrigerators, pork and practically everything you can touch, use or eat.

China is a manufacturing center because of its cheap labor combined with its manufacturing focus and size, such a gap will close down the more automated the manufacturing industry is, and the more the average Chinese worker wage grows.

Technologies like 3D printing, robot workers, car casting etc will make manufacturing in other countries as cheap or nearly as cheap as manufacturing in China.

I thought African, South Asia or ASEAN is cheaper compare to China when comes to labour cost? Which age u r living in still think China GDP per Capita is USD 10000 below?

Lol... Becos in US , there is no accountability. When one person make mistakes that result billion of deaths and still hold on to their post. Just like white american admit black slavery and all savage in the past and say a word of sorry but then what happened? Did anybody paid their life's or even million paid to victims for all those crime admit? No... How do you know how china works?

And are you so sure that’s how the US works? The media prevents a discussion on most core issues. When was the last time there was an honest discussion about the damage our oligarchs are causing to society through their total grip on power?
