Seriously that is some creative editing. The one scientist says in his opinion "we are ahead of China in many respects, and definitely ahead of Pakistan" (arguable since he doesn't say what areas) and note he says many respects, not all of the areas or even the majority of areas.

This gets translated by the news reader as "Scientists: we are superior to China"

the hilarious bit is that people like kinetic take this as scripture that India is ahead of China in ABM tech. Bravo Indian media and bravo Indians for not reading between the lines.

No you didn't got the irony here, at that time China didn't have any ABM but India had both ASAT and ABM. Now think who is bragging here. lol


BTW I posted this for not Shiv Aroor's reporting but to confirm that India has ASAT capability.

As u say the first ABM was tested in 1979..so 32 years back china tested...
So by now china would have ABM operational...
Can u post some info about operational ABM specifications...????????

It was not a failure. All the tests were successful but was abandoned when we signed the Anti-ABM treaty along with US.

Since America pulled out in 2002 we have started again. As for current ABM systems the SC 19 was tested in a midcourse interception in 2010 at 250 KM, something the S-300, PAC 3s, and even SM 3s are incapable of.
