Can we make Su-30MKI as stealthier as Su-35 with Russia?

No. The biggest RCS comes from the MKI not the weapons. Thats why EFT/Rafale have less RCS than MKI though they don't have internal weapon bay. Reducing the RCS will greatly help to reduced detection range by the enemy not complete stealth like F-15SE.

The rafale has low RCS only when it does not carry weapons. When it does its RCS is much larger. There is no complete stealth. Only relative to other fighters. The F 15SE might have decent frontal RCS but without being designed from the ground up as a stealth fighter it will always be inferior to true fifth gen fighters.

I think higher thrust and stealthier engine like the one used in Su35 or the US engine. Apart from this, we can also opt what Boeing has achieved in Silent Eagle or the future F18, it would make it more stealthier than Su35.

Not equal to Su 35BM, because one of the main differences is, that the Su 35 is a single seat fighter, while our MKI twin seat.]

Yeah there are few changes which might not be corrected, so yeah it might not get more stealthier as Su35 but its not impossible.

SU-30MKI just like SU-30MKK, SU-35 have completely exposed engine fan blade!!!!

You must use new inlet design such as DSI to hide it. This is gonna be very expensive and difficult. Since Su-30 is already designed!!

You also need to bend the vertical stablizer!!!

You also need internal weapon bay. Again hard to do.

You also need to upgrade it with AESA radar other wise there is no point doing it!



After all these you mind as well build a new airplane.

The J-10B, has DSI inlet to completely hide its engine fan blade. J-10B also has AESA radar. But even with all these it is only semi stealth at BEST!

J-20 is going to be the beast in PLAF.

Why even bother with redesigning, just add some composites and RAM. Fix the biggest engine possible and the most powerful AESA radar available. Something with the detection performance of the Irbis-E would make sure that the MKI would always get the first shot against any 4-4.5 gen including the F-15SE.

Btw, the F-15SE looks like it has lost a good percentage of it's wing area to the conformal weapons bay. That surely must affect it's aerodynamic performance.

absolutely correct... MKI with aesa radar can act as mini AWACS while fulcrums and mirages can strike deep inside enemy territory...

Because RCS reductions (not stealth!) is an important point of MKIs upgrades for the future, imo the most important! In BVR so far MKI has a good advantage, but the opponent fighters getting better and better and especially J10B will be a hard match in BVR. Increasing radar range alone will not be sufficient enough, when the opponent has AESA as well, but a way smaller RCS, that's why there must be a focus on reducing MKIs RCS as well. We also have to keep in mind that MKI has to serve at least till 2035 and must remain capable till FGFA is available in sufficient numbers to take over the air superiority roles.

RCS reduction will be taken care of in MLU..I was talking about the Internal weapon's bays and all.. AESA Radar, Engine upgrade and RCS reduction are included in MLU..Regarding J-10B a hard match - I have different opinions..
