can't say about the reactor but the Arihant as such is of Akula-I design, plus we didn't had the tech. to develop PWRs for the sub earlier, there "MAYBE" Russian scientific help for it.

If u want to read further about INS Arihant, this is a good read (link given by @DroneAcharya):

The Indian Strategic Nuclear Submarine Project An Open Literature Analysis

No they didnt provide Reactor tech

The initial design strategy was to copy a leased Russian nuclear submarine (Charlie II) using an Indian built nuclear reactor for propulsion. The Russians are said to have provided detailed drawing of the leased submarine minus the reactor design (providing reactor design details would have been a violation of the NPT).

Pakistan had build Augusta class in Karachi shipyard but after that relying on that experience we didn't see any Pakistan deign Sub in Pakistan navy based on that experience . i think Pakistan still lack capability of producing Sub of their own, same goes to India who are producing Nuclear power sub of Russian design. it is questionable whither Pakistan can Produce Sub with out any foreign assistance but they may design nuclear reactor for their nuclear sub though insallaah . good luck to Pakistan .

I think Currently Pakistan will be happy to have the ability of Firing Babur Cruise missiles from Agosta-Khalid Class submarines..

Each has 4 × 533 mm (21 in) bow torpedo tubes and Babur has Diameter of 0.52 m.
It does look like soon PN will be able to fire Babur from Khalid class submarines without Major Modifications.
@AhaseebA what you think..

Yes, thats right. Once fully developed and tested, Babur SLCM would provide limited second-strike capability.
Development of an SLCM is no easy task, and the current hurdles will be removed sooner or later...let us just wait till then.

the diameter of torpedo tube should be atleast 655mm.
the third agosta90b had a 655mm torpedo tube diameter

Khalid class Submarime+ Babur is a very cost effective and practical second strike capability for Pakistan..
Qing class is an option , but we dont have the money and no Ballistic missile for that..

Yaraa...why aren't we producing more Agostas ? Isn't it a pretty good platform still ? :what:

Most probably the Navy top brass is or was double minded between Qing class and Agosta-Khalid class.
But for now it looks like Agosta-Khalid class is the only option and is a good one, provided the integration of and improvement of Babur Cruise missile goes as planned..
With better engine and better fuel,Babur's range can be doubled, and for Pakistan that will be enough nuclear deterrant.

PDF own video..
You can see Pakistan's ability of producing submarine..

how did you reach this conclusion?..

pretty much common throughout the world

even tomahawk cruise missile diameter is same..even the israely cruise missile diameter is same bt dolphine class submarine torpedo tube diameter is 655mm
